***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Okay, I have a little more time to write out our (my) tentative plans.
Saturday Dec 3rd: Arrive at MCO 11:00 am. Check in - Epcot (FW) and dinner at Garden Grill. We'll probably head back to the resort with the kids but my parents and friend may hang out a while later.
Sunday December 4th: Magic Kingdom. This is a party day so we'll be leaving early. I was thinking of an early BOG dinner if I can get it.
Monday December 5th: Hollywood Studios. Lunch or dinner at 50s Primetime. If we want to stay for Fantasmic we may take the girls back for an afternoon break.
Tuesday December 6th: No park day for us though my parents and friend will still go somewhere. We want the girls rested for the party. Since we'll all be in different places I was thinking an early Ohana dinner would be perfect for us all to meet up and stuff ourselves before the party.
Wednesday December 7th: Epcot all day, Lunch or dinner at Via Napoli. Again, if we decide to stay for Illuminations we'll take the girls back for a break.
Thursday December 8th: Animal Kingdom. Probably a later start for us so we can sleep in. Yak and Yeti for dinner.
Friday December 9th: Magic Kingdom. This is another party day and I'm hoping to get HDDR to close out our trip.
Saturday December 10th: Home :(

DH, myself, and the girls don't have hoppers. My parents and friend do. We'll spend the majority of time together but they like having the flexibility and I know one park per day works best for us right now with the kids. Plus we'll have some earlier nights and probably later starts on some days. Just going to play it by ear and not make any ressies for super early or super late.

I'm really excited. New resort for us, a lot of new restaurants for us this trip too. Now just hoping the dining gods are on my side Monday morning.

You don't have to wait until Monday, you can book on Sunday with a 12/3 check in!!

Your plans sound great!

Oh and your Sunday - Tuesday are identical to mine with parks/party. :). They all are predicted to be low crowds those days so we should be good :)

Isn't 180 on Monday?! Am I getting confused again?

My plans are similar too, checking in on Dec3 as well! :D

Where r u staying and how old are your kids? I'm bringing a 2 year old and am afraid I might be planning too much! (I am but I have 6months to make sure I'm flexible in mind and spirit by the time we go :P your plans look great though, very relaxed :)

Omg no, that's my crazy brain. All day I've been thinking it was Sunday. It's Monday. Wow, glad I realized that before setting my alarm for 5am tomorrow night lol

i'm up and waiting for my window to open :-p stressed that it won't work right for me :-p

well it's not working

no ohana
i can see the rest of the reservations but i can't book them and now i can see them disappearing
"sorry for the paws"
***?

right now on hold and watching things disappear. SO FRUSTRATING. I hope no one else goes through this, it is pretty awful :(

Well the update - I got pretty much everything I wanted except for Ohana, but she said that Ohana hadn't been loaded into the system yet. A lot of Epcot restaurants weren't either. I took BOG at 4:30 on party night if you can believe that, which is the one I didn't think I'd get and why I ended up going for Ohana in the first place. So if you want Ohana for that week, hold out hope, because it hasn't been loaded AT ALL on the 8th for dinner and I'm not sure about other days either. Had a WONDERFUL CM and got everything within 15 min of the times I wanted.

UGH! I hope you ended up getting what you want! ADR day is Monday for me and I'm hopeful for no issues!

Oh no! Online does not work at all? Are u calling now? I hope you get your ADRs!

EDIT: just saw your update! So glad you got what you wanted! Except Ohana but BOG at 4:30 is great!!

SOOO, here's what i got for ADRS this morning
Dec 1st - wanted 1900 Park Fare, got Trails End BBQ at 5:45 (which i like more anyways, but wanted another night)
Dec 2nd - wanted BOG lunch and a fantasmic package, can't get BOG, and couldn't even get a restaurant in HS for 4 ppl around 414-545 : ( so i have cape may for 5:10
Dec 3rd - Tusker House at 410, incase AK is open for the night, if not, i'll need to find another place around MK to eat
Dec 4th - didn't want anything, i was just going to do QS, but ended up with Crystal Palace at 5:10 for MVMCP night
Dec 5th - Booked Tusker House again at 4:20 incase i can get into AK for this night.. if not i'll find a MK are restaurant (the 3rd and 5th are interchangeable nights for me )
Dec 6th - i was planning AK for the morning, but this was the ONLY BOG qs i could find! BOG 12:10 and Via Napoli at 5:30
Dec 7th- made a lunch res for RainForest Cafe Disney Spring at 11:30 for departure day

@Lisa F That stinks about Ohana not being loaded. Does this happen often where a restaurant isn't able to take reservations at a 180 ADR time? Do they give folks a time it will be available to be booked again so they have a chance?
Did you use online at all? Or do you think calling is better?

Rethinking Hollywood Studios for Friday December 2nd. Its got Extra magic hours in the evening, and its a MVMCP night.. Probably the park everyones gunna want to go to, not much dining left to book in there, but the rest of the week is all open for dining

Ok so I was pretty agitated earlier so maybe I was not clear.

for the 180+10 I could SEE reservation availability but I could not MAKE any. So I waited (impatiently) until 7am and called. While I was waiting on hold for an agent I thought it was working so I booked narcoossees but it turned out it only worked because it was for TODAY (gah). I did some searching and apparently the +10 is sometimes (often) a problem with booking online and you get the error message.

I called right at 7 and waited on hold for about 10 minutes and got a sweet and lovely cm. I went for Ohana first and she said it was not loaded at all yet. We did all the rest and here is what I got (my goal is for most breakfasts around 9-9:30am and dinners around 4:30-5pm)

12/2
7:20 whispering canon cafe (my flight lands at 5:10 so this should be enough time I hope, and then enough time to get back to BLT for fireworks)

12/3
9:45 tusker house breakfast (hoping to convert to RoL package, wanted 9am)
4pm Yak and Yeti Dinner (wanted 4:30 but will cope, that was the latest they had)

12/4
11:15 Sci Fi (wanted 11)
5:00 CA Grill (wanted 5)

12/5
9:05 Cape May Breakfast (wanted 9:00)
2:30 Coral Reef (wanted 2:30, planning to convert to CP)

12/6
9:35 Ohana Breakfast (wanted 9:30)
4:30 H&V seasonal dine (wanted 4:30, planning to convert to F!)

12/7
10:00 Garden Grill (wanted 10, trying to do Soarin' at rope drop)
5:05 Narcoossees (wanted 5pm)

12/8
9:30 Boma breakfast (wanted 9:30)
4:55 BoG Dinner (changed from 4:30, closest to 5 I could get - I wanted to give myself a chance to get 3:30-4pm Ohana and hold both reservations until I figure out what i am doing on the 2nd, see below)

12/9
couldn't make yet because I only had my dummy reservation with enough points to book through the 8th but I want 9:30 CP and 4pm HDDR

So now this is my plan
I haven't booked anything for my arrival night 12/2. I am still thinking about this.

What I think I might do is try to go for a 7ish cancellation at Ohana (i get to watch for it now lol) which is my arrival night.
Also if I can grab a 3:30-3:50 at Ohana on 12/8 I will hold both until my trip (I know I am sucky, sorry). This way I can see how it goes on the first day - if for some reason I miss my first night Ohana reservation, I will pay the $20 for the risk and I will still have the option of going later in the trip (that is assuming I can grab it when they are loaded). It would be great if I could do BOTH Ohana AND BoG. But I am happy with my backup as well.

Does that all make sense? I think WCC will be much easier to get, I will book that later for the 2nd I think.

WHEW.

that's where I am, pretty close to what I wanted! Bodes well for everyone I think!

We will be there 11/30 - 12/8 at Beach Club Villas. I made my ADRs yesterday (7:45 am on the 180 day) and it took me 5 hours....seriously! I was unable to get Ohana for any night of my 8 night trip...so sad! I was unable to get a Fantasmic dinner package...boo hoo! I had difficulty getting other favorites as we'll but I'm happy to say I scored a BOG ressie and haven't been able to in a few years. 179 days to go! I can't wait!
