You can have an earlier dinner at chef mickey's - maybe leave the MK a bit early and if you go straight to dinner it is literally a 10 minute (even being kind of slow) walk from the gates of the MK to CR. Don't wait for the monorail. I'd give it 2 hrs if you can between ADR time and getting back to your room... assume worst case scenario half hour wait, hour to hour and 15 to eat, then back up to your room.

how about a spa thing at the GF spa during the pirate cruise?

Not sure what else you need input on, it looks good to me!

My TA thinks I'm crazy and that I won't be able to eat those meals after the cruise. But really, I don't even care if either one of us eats very much. I like it for the characters for him. I've scratched Cali Grill brunch off the list, don't want to spend that much time during a short MK day. And TREX we can just order apps or something...but of course will have to hit up Ghiradelli and Sprinkles while there..lol

I may try to get a 7:30 CM instead, was trying to give us time to shower and change.

tambu lounge is open 9am to 12am? dunno if they are serving booze yet but maybe mimosas and bloody mary type acceptable morning drinks.

Is The Cove Bar only for BLT guests?

I just want to sit with a bloody mary, or something else equally good, outside, looking at the pretty scenery, and just breathe for a moment lol

eh who needs time to shower and change for CM. you'll be there with every other grubby parent and kid in the contemporary lol. if you need to shower to refresh take it after dinner and get into pjs.

I think the only place that is not accessible to guests from CR and BLT is the top of the world lounge, which is DVC members only. I believe the rest of the resort is shareable between the two sides.

also, do they REALLY police the pools if you don't show up with swimwear and towels and want to sit at the bar?

Yes, at Poly you could only get in with your magic band. I would assume all are that way

I have heard that Cape May is a pretty relaxed character meal with good interaction and good food. And since we're staying at BC it's a bit of a no brainer to go for it. I'd love to try the dinner there as well but I know DD wouldn't be into it - that's an option too for our date night but not sure I'd want to have a buffet for date night (though I do love seafood!)

I like the Holiday Dine but DD won't eat anything on the menu. She's a picky vegetarian and she'll get to meet Minnie, Donald and Pluto at Cape May.

I'm doing cape may too. I don't believe it is hard to book, it is off the beaten path a bit for anyone not staying at an epcot resort and when people want those types of characters they tend to favor stuff like chef mickey.

well tambu lounge in poly is open presumably to serve bloody marys to the ohana crowd. they open at 9am.

how about CM for breakfast instead of 1900 park fare and then just be more open about dinner? can even grab qs at the MK before you leave earlier in the night (if you are worried about eating too much post cruise).

or just swapping cm breakfast and 1900 pf dinner - the food seems better at 1900 pf. or was there particular characters you wanted there? it doesn't appeal to me though i know it has its fans.

I think they're fencing in all the pools and creating Magicband access points. This was even the case at AoA when we were there last September.

It says that they are heated, and people that I know who go during winter months have said the same. I have no intentions of swimming, kiddo may have different thoughts. But the pool at the contemporary looks pretty boring- which was another reason I chose it- so not to tempt him with the volcano slide lol. We'll see.

I've never been to 1900 PF for any meal, but have heard great things about the mad hatter which is why I put it in the plans- but, it can only work if I can get early enough, the pirate cruise leaves from GF at 9:30

@21stamps it specifically says on BLT's website that you have access to the CR pool. I can't imagine why it wouldn't work in reverse.
