***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Ughhh! As if I wasn't stressed enough about getting dining for our party of 11, now I'm hearing about limited availability!! My husband keeps telling me to relax - we will be able to eat this trip. Disney won't run out of food! ;)

Come on Friday! Let's see what we can get!
disney won't run out of food and there are some amazing hidden treasures out there that people don't book right away. not only will you eat, you will eat well and probably too much! lol

does it have to be pre-park? i'm sorry I am losing track of everyone else's plans. If it is a priority you should be able to get SOME meal at akershus even if not breakfast... lunch as a backup and keep checking for breakfast any time. 1900 Park Fare has cinderella and prince charming as a complete utter backup.

I agree with @Lisa F. If it's a deal breaker, then I would take whatever meal I can :)

Prepark is preferred but really any Akershus breakfast will be fine (she just won't like the lunch/dinner offerings as much). I'm sure it will be okay but I was panicking that people were trying to book Akershus and couldn't get ANYTHING - perhaps it was a glitch. 1900 Park Fare is on the list as well for us but as a regular reservation not as backup. CRT will be the backup but I'm not interested in spending that kind of money for a meal my daughter basically won't eat.

She may be so excited she won't eat anyway. I would go with what food appeals to you since your meals will cost far more than hers. Just my perspective and how i'd feel if I had a princess obsessed daughter. In fact I'd be tempted by CRT because it's in THE castle and who really cares about the food? The breakfast looks meh there but lunch or dinner there might be a bigger hit than breakfast, they have nuggets and seem very accommodating. I also barely look at what things cost on a disney trip with my kiddo, I go so infrequently (every 2+ years) it might as well be once in a lifetime he is so different every time. So what if a breakfast costs $30 more? small change for magic. of course i am the reason disney keeps raising prices, lol.

I think that you should be able to find something as long as you are flexible with your days. I'd be excited too if I had a princess loving daughter. :) instead I'm dragging a reluctant husband and a 2 year old boy! Lol! That being said, you could always meet princesses at meet and greets? (Use FP+?) as a back up, back up plan :)

my kid won't go near the princesses. but nothing beats a character meal. I think if you are a bit flexible you should be able to find SOMETHING. if not at 180 days things will open up later, just be vigilant!

@Candycane83 and @Mintycake are you both parties of 3? i have heard another strategy is to look for a table for 4, sometimes the odd numbers are hard to find. when you show up with 3 you won't be penalized, it is the same table size (physically)

@Lisa F thats why I'm dragging mine at 2 years old since he can't argue yet :joker: it's his first trip and a variety would be nice, plus it's a good use of the dining plan :P I do have back up plans, even for Ohana dinner... Might just go for 1900 Park Fare if I don't get Ohana on party night, we'll see. If I do get Ohana, we might see each other there :D

nowledgeable help please-

If I have dinner at WC at 5:30, can we be back in the room and settled before Wishes?

It's a Saturday night, 12/3

The contemporary
There is a boat that travels between WL, CR and FW which is only five minutes if going direct to the CR but about 15 minutes if going to FW first. You could also try the bus to Hollywood Studios or Disney Springs. They usually stop at the Contemporary after picking up at the WL. But check with the driver before getting on the bus, just in case. :)

We had a party of 11 for our upcoming June trip and got reservations. We had a little trouble with Liberty Tree Tavern but persistence paid off and we finally got that one.

ohana WAS my backup for BoG and now it seems even harder to get. what the holy hell? I have been watching a while though and it seems like the free dining periods are outrageous with slightly less outrageous during non free dining periods. On the 8th I'm hoping it's all good for Ohana, good for narcoossees, good for it all!

Yeah I hope so. I've seen a lot of threads on how hard it is to get ohana bog and Akershus... I'm hoping it'll be ok for everything and everyone would get what they want! :)

Our week isn't a free dining week is it? I thought it was over by then.

@Mintycake You can make an ADR for 4 and will not be charged for the extra person. At least at this point, you are only charged if you no-show. Also, when I planned with a little girl, I found it really less stressful by not telling my niece where would be going until after I got the ADR. I'm not sure if that's possible now, but for anyone else, it might be helpful. That way, she wouldn't be heartbroken to miss out on certain events if I couldn't secure them.

Yes we are 3. But if you book for 4 and only 3 come to the restaurant aren't you charged a no show fee for the 4th person?
nope, no harm done at all. you get a 4 top table either way. though honestly even if they charged me $10, if it was the only way to get a highly coveted ADR I'd do it! but they don't. I believe this has been suggested by cms when people call in. the odd numbers can show less / no availability even when there should be tables based on a 4 top.

I was able to make ADRs this morning! I was actually pretty nervous after reading how hard it's been for everyone. I'm actually pretty happy with what I got.

11/29: Crystal Palace 10:00a
11/30: 50s Prime Time 3:45p - no more lunch??? trying to change my sister's mind about this one
12/1: Biergarten 8:00p
12/2: Tusker House 8:00a & Cape May 8:00p
12/3: Be Our Guest 8:00a & Ohana 5:30p
12/4: Akershus 1:25p - not sure about having lunch here, may change

Overall, super excited about BOG, Ohana and Tusker.:) Now to plan FP+
