Noooo!!! My plan was breakfast for Akershus on Dec5... I may need to rethink and adjust my plans...

@Mintycake we may be checking for ADRs everyday...

No! I was planning Akershus for Dec 6, but I can flip it to the 8th if necessary. Gah in which case we'll have to burn through EMH to get on M&G with A&E and then book a later breakfast at Akershus. I think I'm going to have to really work out my spreadsheet.

Ok a lot of people are saying to avoid EMH parks altogether (unless you have park hopper). I may flip one of my Epcot and MK days too to do so, depending on Akershus. I am planning it towards the end of my trip - the other alternative is to do a lunch or dinner at Akershus (since we're really just doing it for the Princesses) and burn EMH for Anna and Elsa M&G on last day. We were planning to do that for Joy and Sadness but I think the line for them will be way less than for A&E.

Also everyone is panicking about A&E (including me) since it's the BIGGEST thing for my daughter, but with the third room available, and with waits only looking like 1 hr when they were at MK, I'm hoping standby will be 45 mins tops worst case scenario.

I didn't encounter any issues with the app this morning. I was online right at 5 central / 6 eastern. Partial success.

9:05 pm California Grill (want to switch to 8:30 Narcoossee's)

11/29: _________________ (dinner) (want Akershus)

11/30: None (Universal day)

12/1: 5:30 pm 1900 Park Fare

12/2: 4:15 pm Yak and Yeti (want to switch to 5:30)

12/3: 7:10 pm Boma

12/4: 8:00 am Be Our Guest (want to switch to 11/27)

5:45 pm Be Our Guest

12/5: 9:00 am Boma (departure day)

11/28 or 29: 6-7 pm Akershus

Getting nervous for ADRs now, I think it's because of reading DIS too much and seeing people saying they are not getting what they want I haven't been since 2012 so I'm a little out of practice... How do you guys do it? Do you have multiple screens opened and logged in?

I haven't been to WDW since 1993! So yeah a lot has changed! at that time we walked into the park with no plan at all. I'm so stressed out reading about people not getting ADRs. I guess there's always the ADR thread too you can look at where you can swap an ADR or take one off someone who isn't going to use it.

I convinced DH to get up early so he will use the computer and I'll use the ap on my phone when we try to log in.

Agree, worst case scenario is you just miss a boat and you wait 20 mins for next one and it takes 20 mins to get there and you wait a half hour to be seated and dinner takes an hour and a half... at worst you still have an hour to spare and that is if every possible thing goes wrong that can.

Don't be anxious. Some are hard to get but if you don't get it right away, people "hog" them and then cancel last minute. I think Touring Plans has a service (free) you can sign up for that will alert you when your desired ADR comes available too. But in the end, and what I need to remember too, no ONE ADR will make or break your trip. A little flexibility goes a long way. Says the woman who made a second reservation just to get a leg up on the ADR process.

I think Touring Plans has a service (free) you can sign up for that will alert you when your desired ADR comes available too. So true, I agree with this but am still anxious... it's like I know it would not make or break my vacation but you just can't help wanting to get these reservations! It's crazy

I can't believe I missed this thread!
Our main trip is Dec 2nd to Dec 11th but I'll be flying in early solo Nov 27- Nov 2nd.
So I was able to book some of our ADRS... I was truly shocked out how hard is was to get reservations, however we are going as a group of 6 instead of 2 or 3 as normal.

We couldn't get BOG dinner on 12/3 like I needed so we opted for Ohana but had to get two separate reservations for 3 instead of one for 6.
Hopefully we can get seated together (5:50 pm) and still make it to MK for the castle lighting at 7:30.

PPO Akershus was available on 12/4 but we were aiming for 10 am and could only get 10:30 or later. So we took it.
Got Teppan Edo without issue, will switch the candlelight processional package when available.

Surprisingly I couldnt book STK online so I had to call, CM was able to book it no problem!

Was able to secure Tusker House without issue. If ROL dining packages open up, I'll happily switch.

Was able to score BOG dinner for only 190 days out! (12/7) No other dates were available. We didn't plan on going Wednesday 12/7 because I fear the park will be mobbed due to MVMCP nights and emh.
I'm hoping I can get dinner on Friday 12/9 instead. Would fit my plan much better.


Definitely aim for BOG, Ohana, and Akershus in that order. I'm so grateful that I am arriving early because if I had to wait til 180 days, I fear I'd miss out on everything I wanted.

I have a question for u, did u have a continuous reservation from Nov 27 to Dec11. Just wondering because I have a split stay from dec 3-6 then Dec 6-12... If I could do all my reservations on dec 3, I would be happy glad you got most of what you wanted though!

Nope, I actually have 3 separate reservations.
AS sports Nov 27- Dec 2
DVC points AKL Kidani Dec 2-Dec 3
POR with tickets & dining Package Dec 3 - Dec 11th.

I had a slight issues being given 180+10 so I ended up changing my All star sports reservation to cover all 180+10 days and then once I had my ADRS. I just changed it back to the appropriate dates.
I also had to call for STK and the CM told me she would have been able to make the reservations for me instead of me going through the trouble changing my all star reservation online.

how are you booking already if you are checking in on the 2nd? i'm checking in on the first and can't book til saturday. unless you are going by your 11/27 reservation?

also free dining is going on when all of the people are having trouble getting reservations right now... free dining doesn't REALLY overlap with our trip - only people with 2 week long trips really overlap with the week that we are there... which is probably not the majority of the free dining people. That should help with availability a bit too i hope!

I sure hope so but it looks like availability is hard to come by the first few days of December from what @PrincessNelly and some other posters have mentioned

Sound advice @Lisa F , but Akershus WILL make or break....I guess if I can't get it I'll have to call and hope to get CRT breakfast - NOT our first choice by any means because my daughter is a picky eater and she won't like the food but a princess meal is really important.

On the other hand, I've been checking for a 7:30am Ohana reservation for practice and there seems to be an abundance of them. Maybe the dinner is harder to get?

Ughhh! As if I wasn't stressed enough about getting dining for our party of 11, now I'm hearing about limited availability!! My husband keeps telling me to relax - we will be able to eat this trip. Disney won't run out of food!

Free Dining could be affect our ability to get reservations the first few days. Things seem to be available further in to the week. Just wasn't the dates I was hoping for! Be our guest is showing availability for dinner now on 12/5-12/7. Akershus has PPO reservations available for even larger parties further into our trip. Be Flexible & everything should go great. Our dates weren't too flexible so that was our problem.

does it have to be pre-park? i'm sorry I am losing track of everyone else's plans. If it is a priority you should be able to get SOME meal at akershus even if not breakfast... lunch as a backup and keep checking for breakfast any time. 1900 Park Fare has cinderella and prince charming as a complete utter backup.
