***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Sure, I only got 12/3, 12/4 and 12/5 (I already had prior dates). I hope what the CM told me was correct, because I'm not seeing hours posted on Disney's website, and I don't believe TAs have received the hours either. I usually take what CMs tell me with a grain of salt, but I would hope hours would be easy enough to convey to a caller, but I guess you never know!:scared: So, for what it's worth, here's what she told me:

12/3
MK 9-10
EP 9-9:30
HS 9-7
AK 9-5 (interesting, no evening hours for ROL?)

12/4
MK 9-7
EP 9-9:30
HS 9-7 (EMH 8am)
AK 9-5

12/5
MK 9-10
EP 9-9:30
HS 9-7
AK 9-5
Did they give times for F!?

I think the Christmas party makes it easier to not go with hoppers.
You can still do 2 parks on that day.
I think your plan looks good!

We are not doing AK this trip either. Kiddo will be disappointed not riding Everest, but I'm hoping he hits 48" sometime during this summer (he's not even 3/4 inch below right now) so he can ride RnR, it's driving him crazy bc he still can't go on many rollercoasters at our local theme park. Disney had much shorter height requirements than Cedar Fair parks.

Orlando in general does. We rode the slingshot at old town last year- at 45 inches. The one at our park requires 48. Same attraction.lol

Yeah, AK isn't going to make the cut this time. My older son (almost 8) is just 48 inches, but he is not a thrill seeker (he likes SDMT bc it is smooth, but won't go on space mountain or BTMRR...so Everest is def out of the question). My younger son (just turned 6) is 43.25 and he can't wait to be tall enough for Everest and RNR.

Does anyone know what time fireworks, Fantasmic, illuminations etc take place that time of year?

Fantasmic last year was 7/8:30. Some days only one show. Illninations was always 9:30 I think. Wishes was 10pm on non party nights? I can only guess ROL will be similar to F! and I can't guess about Star Wars fireworks if ever there was one... :)

Do you know if Holiday Wishes are at 10 on party nights as well?

I called today to ask for hours and the CM said they are basically going by Nov. hours, but also said subject to change. In essence, that was a waste of time and wasn't all that helpful.

We are lucky to be flying out of Chicago-Midway with lots of SWA flights to choose from. We booked our tickets for our June trip on the release dates because the prices looked good. I watched for the prices to go down, checking several times a week, and the trip down was never cheaper than the price I paid on release date. The flight home, a Wednesday flight, only dropped by $4 and that was only for a few days. Otherwise the release date remained the best price.

The October trip, though, did not have the cheapest flights on release date. I held off buying tickets until I saw better prices, and bought the flight down for just a few dollars less than release date prices. But the price for the trip home dropped from $156 to $99, a big savings.

I've checked the Dec 3-7th SWA prices and they seem high to me. I missed the release date, so it might have been lower. But I'm not buying tickets until I see them go down a lot more than they are now. We have traveled in this early part of December before and I've seen some good sales. The only thing I need to worry about, though, is the Dec 3rd flight. It is a Saturday morning and might have a bunch of Pop Warner kids flying that day. But I don't think the teams will buy tickets for quite awhile yet.
We are flying MDW-MCO on southwest on 12/4! The prices dropped from $162 to $119 just recently

Thanks! So does that mean the electrical water pageant is after the fireworks?

It came by @ 9 at Poly, but I think I read that CR is @ 10.

Not sure I've never actually checked the schedule for the electrical pageant so I'm not sure. I am interested though since we're planning to watch this from Narcoosee's on the first night.

From last year's info it's 9:30pm. :)
The Christmas party Wishes went off at 9:30pm in 2013.

Okay with the release of (tentative) December hours I think I have my ADRs planned. (Because I have to do them Sunday. And I am FREAKING OUT. First time!)
Here's what we have planned.
Dec 3 - HS day
Breakfast: PPO Hollywood and Vine (decided to add this to get a jump on Jedi Training sign up, plus menu looks good)
Lunch: Starring rolls (power pack for DD, something light for DH and me)
Dinner: 50s Prime Time

Dec 4 - Epcot
Breakfast: PPO Akershus
Lunch: Les Halles
Dinner: Katsura grill or Fish and chips

Dec 5 - MK
Breakfast: Ohanas
Lunch: Contempo Cafe (monorail break!)
Dinner: Columbia Harbour House
Plan to stay late for Wishes, Anna lighting the castle (that's happening, right?)

Dec 6- MK
Breakfast: PPO Be our Guest
Lunch: Pinnochio Village Haus
Dinner: 1900 Park Fare
We aren't going to the Christmas party so I thought 1900 park fare is a quick ride away on the monorail and we can have an early night

Dec 7 - MK (with early afternoon arrival due to pirate cruise in morning)
Breakfast: Cape May Cafe (we're staying at BC)
Lunch: Cosmic Rays (or a QS wherever we're at in the park) OR Hurricane Hannahs/Boardwalk bakery/pizza before headed to MK
Dinner: Trader sams (if my daughter wants to go to a kids club that night) OR somewhere QS in the park depends on how we feel. we may not stay late because of the next day

Dec 8: Epcot (AM EMH)
Breakfast: Something quick from either Sunshine Seasons or Beach Marketplace so we can get in line for Joy and Sadness
Lunch: Sunshine Seasons
Dinner: ? Its our last dinner in the world and I'm not sure what to put in here. I was thinking Garden Grill but DD won't eat anything on that menu and it's really meat heavy. I am thinking Via Napoli?

How does it look? I realize I have built no time for sleeping in :( but we want to do parks early with midday break (with the exception of our late MK day, and possibly the shorter MK day). I'd like to think this is a balanced schedule for my family - a mix of TS and QS with restaurants carefully chosen to ensure everyone has something there they'd like to eat.

Strange question......we arrive on November 30th, which would mean our 180-day ADR window would be for June 3rd. We will not be making any reservations for November 30th but will make our first ADR for Dec 1st. Can I still make all ADRs for my trip on the 3rd or will I have to wait until the 4th?

Hope that makes sense!

@Mintycake ADRs look good, but are you sure your ADR day is Sunday? I have very similar dates - December 3 - 9 and if I'm not mistaken my ADR day is Tuesday the 7th.

ETA - OK - I think I made a mistake...original arrival was Dec 4th, but extended to the 3rd, I think I may have forgotten to move the ADR date on my calendar....oops:rolleyes1

We arrive Dec 2, but I won't make any ADRs for that day since we get in late. Planning to grab a pizza slice on the boardwalk that night or if we get super delayed, something at Beaches marketplace.

You're fine. When your window opens, you are allowed to make any ADR's within your trip that you like, even if the only one you want is on your last day!

Ok to add to the confusion-

My TA said that my ADR date is 6/6. I also arrive on the 3rd.

Oops nm. Didn't pay attention to your edit until after my post.

I've slept in a tent the last 2 nights, lack of sleep is to blame for my lost mind... ;)
