***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Interesting. Since we're not doing the Xmas party but planning to do one MK night for Wishes, I'm wondering if it would be better to see it from the dessert party (since MK will be super busy as it's a non party night) or if I should go back to my original plan of dinner at California Grill and then be able to come back to their terrace for Wishes. Right now we have a Skippers Canteen reservation but I'd gladly swap it out.

Otherwise, you can watch party night fireworks anyways from California Grill, right?

I think it's worth it to watch fireworks from inside MK at least once a trip (but that's me) if you are deciding to do the dessert party, you should know that you won't be able to see the only or first MSEP (if there is 2 that night). Do you (or anyone else) know if fireworks viewing is more crowded during a party or on a non-party night? I mean, people talk about how crazy the hub is on party nights, I'm wondering if it's pretty much the same size of crowd regardless of the night. Thoughts?

Not really sure. I'm guessing non party nights might be more crowded just because there is less days that's non party...? I'm guessing it would also depend on how busy the party is. Others might have a better answer.

Hmm that's not really going to work given that I've got 1900 Park Fare for one night (and that's a must do) and the other party night we've got Kona Cafe date night (DD at Lilo's Playhouse). Guess we'll either do the dessert party on Wed or just suffer through the crowds

I think the new one is replacing the old one. Basically doing the same thing they are doing in HS with the star wars - having dessert "inside" and then moving everyone to a prime viewing location. if that is the case then I would not expect them to do it differently during holiday parties. IF they do it that way for the holiday parties then I am def keeping it! I can't imagine they would go back to the old way for the parties!

edited to add it looks like they say they are giving you a choice, except the in terrace one is NOT available to book but the garden one is (after october 1).

Y'all. I might cry. I've been looking for PPO Crystal Palace to replace our just after park opening. I did Touring Plans and I got the notice tonight. I was on the confirm step and it kept freaking out on me. I did see it loaded on my reservations screen but I thought it odd that the system let me keep both reservations so I refreshed before I cancelled the later one - and it disappeared!! I thought about taking a screenshot before to celebrate with my brother in law but I didn't. I would have had the confirmation then at least but now - nothing. Ugh!!

No email confirmation. I hoped maybe it squeaked through while the final step was confirming but nope. I was hoping with all the Candlelight that people would be changing their plans. We are 11 so I'm not sure how lucky we will get in 5 months!

Same thing happened to me the other day with Akershus. That system is so glitchy! So sorry you didn't get that reservation!

If it helps any, not sure if you are looking for garden grill, I see some on dec 6, 9 and 12, PPO and all hours during the day. It's really weird they released some days but not others

I am looking for Garden Grill but on 12/1. Can't decide if it hasn't been loaded or if it's because NPH is a popular narrator...or if I'm just really unlucky with this trip!

Probably not yet loaded? I'm guessing but I'm looking at Dec 7 and Dec 11.

ETA: no narrators still for those dates and no availability at all. Yet dec 6/9/12 have a lot of availability throughout the day.

people are reporting problems with the glitchy website on the restaurant board. I was having trouble booking my cp packages due to glitching too, I know how it feels (except I got what I wanted pretty quickly). I'm sure you will get what you want too, there is movement now due to CP packages, there will be movement again due to FP+ stuff and then movement week of.

About 2am, while nursing my 4 month old, the Crystal Palace reservation popped back up and I was able to grab it AND get an email confirmation!

Never been so glad to have an infant who nurses every 4 hours!
