***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Not sure any of you have experience with this, but how does fast pass seating work for shows, specifically Nemo and FotLK at Animal Kingdom? If part of your group enters in the FP line and part of the group enters in the standby line can you possibly sit together if a couple of extra seats are saved, maybe use the had to go the bathroom excuse? Please, no judging for asking this question, LOL!
I haven't seen the Nemo show yet, so I'm not sure about that one, but when we did FP for FotLK two years ago, I seem to remember that we were all put into a section together, since that show has 4 separate seating sections. I didn't see anybody try to swap sections, so I don't know if that's allowed or not. We saw a really early in the day show though, so I don't know if that's how they do it all the time.

We stayed in a 2BR villa at OKW in Feb 2015 and loved it. We are trying to find a reason to go back to OKW again, but we need a group. The rooms are huge and the buses seemed to come frequently and were seldom crowded. I don't think we ever waited for more than 10 minutes for a park bus.

We really liked the laid back atmosphere at OKW. ::yes::

Or you could just be like me and be a solo traveler staying there! Lol. Just me, in a studio villa, I'll have space to spread out EVERYWHERE! :rotfl:

Very happy to hear about the buses and the atmosphere! :thumbsup2

Hey all!

Crazy weekend! We did get a lot done, so I'm feel pretty okay with everything. Currently, my dining room table is stuffed with our Disney junk, in hopes I get it packed today. I need to update and finish our trip binder that has all of our confirmations in it. I do realize that this probably isn't necessary, but because we're renting points, I want all of it with me, in paper form. :)

I also need to bake my famous pumpkin bars for DD's class for Friday.

15 days!
"Famous pumpkin bars" sound like they need to be on my snack list!:D

Oh no, that sucks! Does this apply to Shop Disney App purchases?

No idea, sorry. I follow a thread about shipping things to Disney Resorts and that's where I saw it first. There's one mention that it could just be a test, but my guess would be the "test" wouldn't be done by the time we're there. I'm so sad! I was really hoping to make use of Amazon Prime and Prime Now but with $5/box upcharge I'm not sure it'll be worth it.

Okay since the song reminded me of the Magical express....how many of you peeps are taking Magical Express from the airport? I don't like the idea of letting them "deliver our bags to the room". That is pretty standard for cruises and once they couldn't find my bag. I was soaking wet (it had been raining that day and the cruise terminal did not have enough shelter for everyone), and of course DH's bag came quickly but mine we waited for an hour. We had to do the muster drill and I had NO CLOTHES. I had to wear DH's clothes which looked ridiculous since he's 6ft 5 " and I'm 5 ft 4". I'm just about to walk out the door and they "found" my suitcase. I also had something similar happen when I was at a business conference. So, given we're arriving at night, I'm going to look like a schmoe and just take our luggage with us. Has anyone else had this experience? Do the hotels have porters for luggage?

We always use Magical Express. We've done both taken our own bags and had them deliver them. We will have them deliver the bags this trip. We're arriving about the same time we did last time (around 6pm). I think our bags were in the room by 9 last time. We will head into Epcot the evening we arrive so won't need them until 10 or so. I always take necessities in carryon though!

Every resort has bellhops from value to deluxe.

@Iowamomof4 I love your song!!!:santa:

Heads up if you're planning to have anything shipped to yourself while at Disney. They're now charging $5 per package even at the non-convention resorts. :(

Update:
I did some digging and found a post about it on wdwmagic where someone said it's a test at Pop and the All Stars resorts, so possibly not property-wide just yet. It was also mentioned that there would be no charge from "approved vendors" though I have no idea who is on that list.

From slickdeals:
Disney Store: $7 + FS Sketchbook Ornaments for 3 hours only, starting now! Codes: JINGLE + FREESHIP
Disney Store [disneystore.com] is having a 3 hour flash sale, use code JINGLE for $7 Sketchbook ornaments. [disneystore.com]
Use code FREESHIP for free shipping.

Ugh, had to spend more money! Lol.

Here's what I ordered, except between the time I put the coffeepot in my cart and when I went to check out it sold out! Ughhh. And that was my favorite one too! Oh well

Looking for advise on FP for Dumbo and Winnie the Pooh. I have FP for both on our only full MK day. We would also like to ride Peter Pan and i see the wait times can be very long. Should I swap one of the ones I have (dumbo or winnie) with Peter Pan or should we just try and ride it during the party? During the party we aren't doing meet and greets really (since my son wouldn't go anywhere near Santa last week at his photo shoot I dont know how he is going to take to the characters.) We are mostly going to snack, have dinner at BOG at 6 and see the parade. Do you think the wait for Peter pan will be just as bad on party night?

I wouldn't waste a fast pass on dumbo. Swap that one for Peter Pan for sure. The waits for Peter Pan are long. You could always get dumbo as a fourth fastpass or wait (there is a playground built into the line).

@CaleCakes I agree-- Dumbo has a great indoor play area where you wait with a buzzer. So many times, my son would want to continue playing when the buzzer told us it was our turn. You can extend your play time, if you choose. I wouldn't bother with a FP for it. If you can ride PP during the party in the regular line, I would do it (and am planning to). The standby queue is really cool!

Thanks so much! I sort of thought the same thing not to waste the pass on dumbo but I just wanted reassurance. I'll grab the Peter Pan one.

I am devastated that dd has zero interest in moana. I'm hoping to see so many movies but truthfully we just don't make it to movies much. I did find 4 movie passes when I cleaned out my desk so dh and I are seeing rogue one for sure...Maybe fantastic beasts with the other pass?

We must have been channelling each other @Mintycake . I rarely go to the movies since we have a big TV at home.... but while cleaning out drawers I found 4 movie passes too! I think I got them a few years ago for a gift :-) no expiration date so I can still give them away!
