***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I love them!!! Do they actually light up??
They do! And I love that they don't just flash, they cycle across one light at a time!

Edit: Dang it, I tried to post a gif of them, but it's not working! It's like only one bulb at a time lights up, so they kind of dance across if that makes sense!3

Got my email that our magic bands have shipped! Woohoo!!!

Also, we got our Christmas light Mickey ears from ebay yesterday! They are so stinkin cute!

We got these ones:

(And finagled a deal so they were $10 less than they are selling at Disney Store right now!)
I'm so jealous - I ordered them from Disney store.com and paid full price! But they are very cute!

I'll be honest, they are really worth full price! Like not everything I've bought at Disney is like that, but these are pretty high quality. I don't know if you received yours yet, but they are sturdy! And it has a really easy to change battery unlike a lot of things that are basically useless once the battery dies!

:scratchin:scratchin:scratchin this is on my list to buy when i get there sicne i can't find it on the Disneystore website and I'm not about to pay for exuberant 'international' shipping! I just hope I can find it at Disney!

haha, yeah, would def be a tight squeeze with a lot of ADRs!

Can never have too much laminating! Lol. I miss working in education because I had easy access to a giant laminator! :rotfl:

Ooh, that would be interesting

I am lucky in that I do actually enjoy running, and lifting, and Zumba. But let me tell you, a good chunk of the reason I workout as much as I do is so I can still eat all the yummy things! :thumbsup2 And how could I have forgotten about making it into an overly long, rather confusing acronym?! It's DIS tradition! :rotfl2:
Lol--just doing my part!
I "need" to exercise to reduce stress (I get cranky when I don't), though I am also motivated by FOOD! :mickeybar

I weighed myself (that's what I meant by baseline = starting point) and I'm one hundred (something-ty) seven pounds, so if I lose 7 pounds I'll be into a new decade (pretend I was 137, so if I dropped 8 I'd be 129 - okay I guess that means I need to lose 8, but you get the point).
:rolleyes1I'm one hundred (something-ty) pounds, too!:P Love it, stealing it, using it!
And glad the acronym is catching on so quickly:D!

Congrats on getting those FP today @BDFmom!! :thumbsup2 And I hope you got what you were wishing for @Maryemcd!! :-)

Those ears are beyond adorable @Mal6586!! DS14 will never in a million years wear anything like that, but I just might order some for DD and me. ::yes::

I have dining plan question #493. :faint: For those of you on the dining plan who also have several meals you are paying for OOP...

How are you going about determining which ones you will actually pay OOP? Some are obvious, like character meals. ;) I know there are calculators available that will determine this for you based on averages. Are you calling that close enough? Or are you taking the time to take your best guess at what your party will actually order and basing it on more specific/personalized calculations? Or is there some other awesome way you are going about figuring it out?

:flower1: THANKS for any input!! :flower1:

You go girl!! Wednesday night was my first Zumba class back after a week off, and I was SO sore yesterday. Tomorrow morning is my 90 minute Zumba class and I'm ready to crush it!! (Especially after eating leftover candy and cupcakes this week!)

Booya! That's awesome! 90 min Zumba class, that's sweet! I only have 60 min classes at my gym. I'm excited to get to my Saturday morning Zumba class though, since it's my favorite, and I've had to miss it the past couple weeks  And after work today will be a run. Right now though, I'm trying to determine which part of my body is most sore from lifting last night! Currently, it's a close race between my quads and my hamstrings. Those darn squats! :rotfl:

Okay, got my baseline this morning for #OL10LB. If I drop 7 I'll be in a new "decade", so I think that'll be my goal since I only have 3 weeks in which to accomplish this. With Thanksgiving in there, too, I guess I have more like 2 1/2 weeks! lol

Yesss, loving the #OL10LB tags, lol. Awesome goal! You got this! I had been .6 lbs into a new decade, lol, but the last few weeks I allowed myself to take a little break and do some stress/coping eating :rotfl: so I am currently up a little bit again, and 1 lb over that decade now. I'm hoping by the trip I can get at least halfway into the next decade.

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned, another big motivator for me is maintaining my sanity and mental health! Lol

Awe thank you, but trust me I am in my early 40s. Because of all the medical issues M had this year, I did develop some gray hair. Thank goodness I get it dyed, but I kind of freaked and cried when I saw those buggers.

You seriously DO NOT look your age! And don't worry about the whites, I started getting them in my mid-20s! Runs in my family, lol. I am currently well on my way to developing a couple of white streaks :scared1: That reminds me though, I haven't colored my hair in ages, and I really wanted to do something fun and funky and try an oil slick look. Think I'll try to make an appointment before the trip!

You did good with the acronym! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Half of my stay is OOP. But since my thing is more schedule oriented, I still have pricey character meals in the OOP part of my stay. One thing though, I would usually opt to pay OOP for breakfasts and ala carte meals unless I know there's something pricey I want. For you, I think if you have ala carte meals, you can pick to use 2 credits, instead of three and split a meal or pay OOP for an app. It does depend what restaurants you would go to. Care to list your ADRs and maybe we could be a little more specific. :D

I'm doing the same thing @Candycane83 is doing. We have almost all character meals, plus one BOG dinner. We are paying for the adult BOG dinners with our meal plan and out of pocket for the kids (they'll likely share something between actually since neither ever seems to finish an entire kids meal!). We will pay for our Garden Grill breakfast out of pocket for me and DH but use a table credit for the kids (since we won't use a credit for them at the BOG dinner) and our 'Ohana breakfast for all us out of pocket. I have a CRT lunch for me and my DD which I'm paying out of pocket for because I don't think it's a good use of two dining credits for me. In general, I'm choosing breakfasts out of pocket because it's the cheaper of my character meals.

OMG! The scariest thing just happened on the phone with a cast member... I was calling to cancel DS's 1st haircut appointment and the lady almost cancelled the WHOLE ENTIRE TRIP!!!! Thank goodness I said "wait you're just cancelling the haircut, right?" She laughed and goes "oh, no I was about the hit the button to cancel the whole trip". OMG I'm in panic mode right now.

@DisneyBelle27 Thank you and you should get something fun done to your hair--it's a good pick me up!

@areno79 Holy cow 90 minutes--bowing down to you girl!

Thanks guys! Every Saturday I do a 75 minute Zumba class...so by that point I get a burst of energy and another 15 minutes isn't so bad :) My favorite thing about Zumba is the endurance I've built. I go so often and have been going steadily since 2014 that new people who show up to class underestimate me. All they see when they go is me, a big girl, and I'm sure they're thinking I'm not going to make it through the class. I love it when they have to sit down halfway through class and I'm still going! Plus, the calorie burn is amazing! In a typical hour long class, I'm burning around 800 calories on average. :)
