***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

@Talby's question

I think I'm generally not a positive person so this is a little hard for me.

1. I'm so happy to be on this thread and 'meet' all of you! I can't imagine planning this alone now ;) like @Lisa F im truly looking forward to meeting most of you during the span of my trip :)

2. Got my packing list done for this weekend's short trip. Also did a short must do list! Hopefully I can start packing for it by Friday night

3. Made another trip to the Disney store since it's Tuesday Tsum Tsum day (I collect :P) they have the moana collection out and the pig is so cute!!!

@Talby Thank goodness it's finalized!

As for sharing 3 things:

1. Awesome new buddies and special thanks to @SilSprBea and all who helped get my Minnie's Seasonal Dine.
2. Super thankful to have a wonderful hubby who loves WDW as well.
3. We'll be on our way a month from now, probably stopping for the night in the Carolinas right now!

@Candycane83 Your son is 2, so he is going to have moments and it's perfectly "normal" and we've all either been there or wish we could help.
That is so sweet, thank you! :) It's pre trip jitters maybe but I'm sure we will get through it... very happily I'm hoping ;) I just hope DH and I don't have our moments too! Hahaha like @Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL and @Lisa F said, it's all in the parents outlook too. :)

Question: thinking about Sanaa on AK day...how much of a pain is it to get to from AK? DD is NOT an adventurous eater...but I think she would love a snack break there...bread service, salad, s'mores dessert....watching the animals go by. Would they be out at lunch? Can you see them from the lounge area so we don't have to risk an ADR? I can get in around 1:30... Hmmm

Speaking of positivity in attitude, anyone ever play 3 great things with friends or family? Where you go around and share 3 great things that happened that day or that you are grateful for? Anyone want to do a 1st Week of December thread version?

:rainbow::rainbow::rainbow::rainbow::rainbow:

1. I have THE BEST Disney planning buddies on the planet!!
2. I'm having Sunday Dinner on Saturday at Teppan Edo on 12/3 thanks to the very lovely and always helpful @Lisa F!!
3. As of 7:50 p.m., our trip is paid in full!!

:rainbow::rainbow::rainbow::rainbow:

Can you burst from happiness?!

@Talby YAYYYYYYY for no more TA woes!!!!!!! :banana::banana::banana::dancer::dancer::dancer::jumping1: That is so exciting, and I'm so happy you no longer have to stress over this!!!

Let's see, 3 great things:

1. Today is the first day I can actually say I'm going to be in Disney World NEXT MONTH!!!
2. Had been meaning to, and finally sat down today and redid a bunch of my fp's, so now I"m happy with them, and have them set up as best I can so I can start taking advantage of SDFP by midday.
3. Getting to spend another day chit chatting with the absolute greatest group of fellow Disney freaks out there! You guys are the bestest! :grouphug:

You guys move too fast!!! I find myself commenting on things that happened 4 pages ago.

No kidding! Sometimes I feel like an entire page gets added just while I'm quoting messages and typing up my post! :rotfl2:

Did you 2 successfully transfer that Teppan Edo? I was hanging onto mine (well yours) just in case something went wrong with the transfer.

Yes, transfer success! Thanks again so, so, SO much @Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL!! I saw that you had 2 Teppan Edo ADRs on that screen shot thing from (I think) yesterday and got all happy because I know that back-story. :) Really appreciate you doing all that!! Feel free to drop those so you can have your MDE all nice and tidy with your family's stuff. :thumbsup2

Love this! And so appropriate for the first day of November! Roomie told me this morning we should say one thing we were grateful for each day. Today she said she was thankful for me, to which I dryly (yet wholeheartedly) replied, "Well I can't top that, so I'm thankful for you too!" Haha!

So here we go!

1) I am so thankful for this thread. We are all planning different trips at different levels and budgets and with different groups, and at no point has that hindered any of us from connecting and offering advice and kind words and help making decisions. I really hope the next time I get to plan a big trip like this, the universe somehow aligns, and we'll all be going at the same time again!

2) I'm thankful for opportunities, because I cater a little on the side. (In a former life, I was a restaurant manager.) I had a gig last weekend, and I have two more later this week, and that's all money in the Disney piggy bank!

3) I'm truly thankful for my roomie, who, even though she picks on me that I obsess over trip planning and the DIS, is truly my best friend. Not that I've given up totally that some guy may sweep me off my feet someday, but if it never happens, roomie and I can have a hell of a good time rocking our spinsterhood if it stays just the two of us.

I think it is a pretty short bus ride but you'd have to exit the park and wait for the bus. Kiddo is really looking forward to the bread service and he likes grilled meat... there is a side of mac and cheese available for $3 that I will sub out for the "ancient grains" because that's how this mom rolls lol. and yes s'mores. The animals should be out middle of the day, it's not going to be that warm!

Disclaimer: I have never been to Sanaa so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

What are your plans that day? If AK the whole day, I would say just stay in the park. AK seems to have a lot of good snacks around! If you want a lounge thing, nomad lounge offers a bread service too and some small plates. I hear they have really good drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic choices.

Putting that aside, I think the bus ride should only be 5mins from AK to AKL and if you're not doing any other meals there, it'll be a nice opportunity to check out the resort decorations :) walking out of the park and back in takes time though, just because of the size of AK.

My turn!
1. Glad my DD loves Disney as much as I do.
2. Disney at Chistmastime...what's not to love? Even though it my sixth visit to WDW, I'm just as excited as my first!
3. So glad I joined this group...feel like the newbie, but better late than never!!!

Awww....I LOVE your list so much!! But your response to your roomie has me falling off my chair! You are hysterical! :rotfl2:

I love the three things to be thankful for, especially since we're in the month of Thanksgiving!

Im thankful for:
(1) This thread of wonderful people who have been so helpful and supportive in the Disney planning process. I came on here not knowing much and appreciate all the knowledge and advice I've gained from you all!

(2) those hard fought ADRs. When my TA booked my trip she booked ADRs for me but besides a Crystal Palace lunch nothing was a keeper (was way past 180 days). I may get carpal tunnel from the constant clicking but I now have a Chef Mickey dinner, BOG dinner, BOG PPO, CRT lunch, Garden Grill PPO, Akershus dinner, Ohana breakfast, Tusker lunch, and an H&V fantasmic lunch. I know it's a lot of character meals but we're doing any parities so it's my "extra" for my kids.

(3) and as Talby also mentioned a paid off trip!!!

And..... it didn't come. :(

Ugh, I hate when that happens! I was supposed to get my new sling bag for the parks yesterday, but according to Amazon it got mislabeled and therefore delayed, so now not coming til the end of the week.

I'm assuming you got a tracking number with your order so you can see where it is? I'm sure it'll get to you soon!

We will be at AK early for a morning Safari fp....but can't stay for ROL because we have tickets for MVMCP....no adrs that day...breakfast at POFQ and small dinner either at CHH or the Plaza..saving lots of room for the dessert party. Thought Sanaa might be a relaxing hour in the middle of the day...might need the rest...might need an adult beverage before heading to MK for the night!

And..... it didn't come. :(
Booooooo! :sad: that is the worst when you are expecting something the arrive and the postman never comes.

Once DH was expecting a pakage and it did not arrive. He actually got in the car and drove around the neighborhood looking for the postman. He found him and for his pakage odd the truck.
:lmao: we have never had a late package since then.

That's quite an impressive list of ADRs. Makes me look like a slacker! Lol

I'm so afraid that this is what will happen to us on our trip. (DH would be overwhelmed with an overwhelmed DS) I'm trying to be positive but DH tends to run home whenever DS gets fussy. Just had an argument with him this weekend about this :( it's our first long trip alone and I'm going to have to pack a lot of patience for this trip for DH :rolleyes: hoping for the best and fingers crossed that my plans will work!!
DH definitely isn't a Disney fiend like I am. I really have to be aware of that and know that every vacation we take isn't to Disney. He was talking with his friend about the trip and just wishing it was already over and wishes the girls were older. Yet on the other hand, he wants another child!

I did agree that taking young children to WDW isn't always the easiest but it's really what you make it out to be, and to also be flexible.

You've got this @Candycane83 !!!! Just remember, if your little guy melts down, you aren't the only ones dealing with similar issues!
