Oh that's awesome!! Not unlike every single person here, it took forever and a day to get our plans how I wanted them. So to look at changing things...it's hard to explain, but I feel like I can't see it objectively. I think I need to switch park days entirely a couple of days. Or hop more...or something! lol

I'll type it all up and let whoever wants to take a whirl at it. Probably Monday since we'll be out of town most of tomorrow.

Tomorrow we'll just be at the zoo about an hour from us! lol But we're looking forward to it. DD volunteered there this past summer and tomorrow is a special Halloween "Zoo Boo" event that we're all participating in. Should be fun. DD is in her glory there and DS needs to feel the joy of community service! lol I love seeing all the kids in their costumes!

You guys will definitely be among the very first to know when I'm in the 21st century and on FB!

Thanks for all the pumpkin love guys! I knew you'd all get it, lol. I love doing little things that are Disney-related that just help build the excitement for the trip! And @Talby you're too funny! I do a lot of boring stuff, lol, but from time to time I do some pretty neat things!

Did some digging and found my light up necklaces from last year! 2 official Disney pairs and 2 sets that I believe I purchased at Five Below now that I think about it, so that might be another place to check. The Five Below pairs have dead batteries, and I seem to remember it being a pain to replace them (when I bought them last year they were already dead, and I had to put new ones in), so I have to see what I can do when I fiddle with them. One Disney pair is working really well, the other pair is a little dim, but the batteries on those are easy to replace. I also found a green sequin elf hat that I forgot I'd bought, and a little jewelry pouch with a bunch of my Christmas jewelry already in it! So hey, I'm already partly packed!

And can I just say again how awesome everyone here is! I am so very happy that I found this thread! You have all made my planning process even more fun and exciting than I thought it could be! Thank you everyone for being the awesome peeps that you are

We are going the Halloween zoo event in Boston tomorrow too!!! I can't wait!! ..have fun!!

It was pages ago where the discussion about the MDE not updating canceled or changed ressies...did anyone figure out how to resolve that? It's confusing to see them when u know they've been changed. It's even wrong in the app.

I don't know how to fix it, but I have 2 I technically canceled a couple days ago and they are still there with the little circle just spinning. WEIRD!!!!!!!

Yeah, I have the same problem @CaleCakes and @Babs1975. It's bothering me that it's sitting in my plan. I also have the circle spinning and when I am able to click on it the website it says "sorry we had to duck out". On the MDE app it tells me that reservations in progress can't be cancelled. I searched for this error and I found threads where people say that it would refresh in a few hours (that hasn't happened for me) and others saying that it was like that for months until they called Disney IT to clean it up. I suspect that it'll have to be something I need to get Disney IT involved with to clean up, but I won't tackle that problem until I solve my problem of having Disney take back my reservation next week.

Rivers of light might soft open Monday. I don't know who this soft open would all be open to but Monday is looking very promising.

Cross-posting here! Look what rteetz just posted! A soft opening of Monday would be very promising for us 1st week of december folks. It's funny, because touring plans has been saying for a long time that the show was estimated to open on halloween.

Okay, well, this is kind of a long story! haha Here's the nutshell: My original 10 turned to 6. When we did the transfer, I cancelled all 6 (only option; can't cancel a portion) and I was hoping extra hard that you would get your 3 and I'd get my 3. I think there's a chance that what you saw as availability were the 3 that I picked back up. Isn't that a fun story! lol I just checked and there's no availability.


REGARDLESS...I'm so happy it all worked out!

The fireworks is later this year I think. It was 9:30 last year but looks like it will be 10 or 10:15 this year judging from MnSSHP. It'll be slightly later than you expect but with kids, I feel that sometimes even half an hour makes a difference for them. I don't think an early morning after mvmcp would work well...

It is chaotic and a mad house.EVERYONE is rushing out of the park and people pretty much tried to run over both of our umbrella strollers. It was the worst with the second worst being the rush crowd at rope drop for Toy Story at DHS

This is worrying to me. We are only staying in mk for fireworks on 12/7. That's why I'm considering watching them from outside mk. Especially if they are later at night.

Oh, I'm so sorry, @Maryemcd! Ugh--I'm going to stick to my day job and not be a story teller because I clearly stink at it! lol Sometimes when there's a back-story with something planning related, it makes it feel all the more appreciated, but in this instance I should not have tried to tell a 2-paragraph story in 2 sentences. And you're on Facebook so you're way more in the loop that I am! (just didn't want JamieOak's efforts to go unnoticed since she had been stalking for a while). YAY @Maryemcd! SO glad it was successful and that you'll be going to JBJB on 12/3!! We have tickets too and I'm working on switching our plans to be able to go!! YIPPEE!!

Speaking of rteetz--does everyone know he only just recently graduated high school? It's irrelevant how old he is really; it just surprised me as I think he is assertive, wise and articulate far beyond his years. Very impressed with that guy for many reasons!
