***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Great to know! I don't see it on the Mara breakfast menu but see it on he Contempo Cafe one. I have considered Garden Grocer but we're moving resorts three times so I am considering just buying from CS some mornings... Or maybe we would do a grocery stop and a car service just for fruit and cheese sticks...
Not even worth it to use a car service/pay for car seat for fruit and cheese sticks. They are reasonably priced at the quick service at the resort, at least they were at Poly.

Oh nice! Great to know they sell them! I was worried we wouldn't be able to find cheese sticks! Lol! Oh do they sell whole milk too?

Haha not implying that you are wealthy but generally people who work a lot of hours like that do it in a job that makes it worth it. It was easier when I had two salaries at my disposal but I know I am lucky to be able to do with him what I can do!

I took him when he was 6 for the first time in 2014. We went in september and we did SO much but I had a stroller. I am hoping he doesn't poop out too badly this time but he did great with his dad back in february.... but this is why I was so keen on staying at both an epcot resort and a MK resort. I take my time and save and then spend like a drunken sailor on vacation, lol. that's why we're doing deluxe ddp - why not? not sure when we'll go again as the cruise is up next and he is only 8 once... next time we do character meals he will be older and it might not be quite as magical.
So you used a stroller at age 6? I wasn't planning on it this trip, and then a friend of made started making me question it. They just went over Spring Break and she used one for her 6 year old. I was hoping with the cool weather and short park days that we would be ok, she thinks I'm making a mistake.

I'm pretty sure that I remember cheese sticks in the refrigerated section!

I don't remember about the whole milk, and unfortunately Horizon doesn't do their whole milk in single servings, but try these- you could order from Amazon, have them delivered to your first resort, put what you will need in the fridge and leave the rest in a bag for when you switch resorts :)

you know your kid. for mine, i knew it would be too much for him. He's got low tone and is not very coordinated and seems to tire easily. They have little legs though so keep that in mind even if they are athletic.

Does anyone know if you can key one magic band to your whole stay for a split stay?

I'll probably end up renting one and hopefully just leave it parked until we move to another land.

He's a skinny kid, so doesn't weigh too much, but I'm still not strong enough to carry him if he gets tired!

great suggestion! My back up plan was buying milk from Starbucks! I have to see if RPR would accept delivery from Amazon though. I just saw that Garden Grocer no longer delivers there. Hence I was thinking of just getting a car service :)

that's what we did. park it in tomorrowland, do all of tomorrowland. get in it and repark it in fantasyland. at the end of the night when we had to drag @$$ back to the room he was glad to ride.

What is RPR?

If Amazon doesn't deliver there can you get it for your next stop? I would think Disney would stock whole milk at the shops and qs, maybe call a resort and ask? Definitely cheaper if you only have to buy it during the first stay though.

I'm in the minority of mothers I think.

I've always hated strollers! When he was a baby I used a moby wrap and then an ergo more often than the big stroller, switched to a lightweight stroller as soon as possible, and then stopped stroller use pretty early on. Did a lot of carrying him on my back though!

Last year at Disney it was so annoying to get him out of the stroller every time a photo pass photographer was around! In his defense the heat index was 104, but I didn't think we would use it as much as we did. He just wanted to sit, spray himself with the water fan, and be pushed from place to place. It did make it easier to get to our dining reservations though. I booked way too many and was literally running from one side of the park to another to make it on time.lol
I wasn't going to rent one for that trip, but my friends convinced me.. I am sooooo glad that I did!!!

Hopefully this time he'll agree to leave it parked longer.

Only place I've ever used a stroller was disney too... he was worn and then walked :) Beco for me :) Like I literally NEVER used our stroller except when we went to disney. I rented one from one of the off site places for him - the city jogger style because he is a bigger kid. He rode from land to land but walked from ride to ride. when he was 6 i did not get him in or out or strap him in, he just kind of hopped in and out as required and i put my bag in it too.

Ok you just made me feel like a little less of an odd ball!!!lol

When I said "get him out" I mean literally he didn't want to get out. He wasn't strapped in. Oh it made me so angry, the photo people helped talk him into it and into getting his picture taken- thankfully!

It always amazes me that my kid is from South Florida but yet is a total wimp about the heat. We are such opposites with that! His dream vacation is Antartica, which I can't even comprehend. So hopefully Orlando during the winter will have less complaining about heat while we're at the parks.

I used a mix of stroller and carrier too. Although DD will be almost 7 when we go to Disney, we've opted not to rent a stroller. She's the size of a 10 year old so I don't think will fit plus we don't want to deal with the hassle. She can motor if she's motivated LOL.

It's royal pacific resort, we're staying at universal for the first 2 nights. Yup I would probably ask in the universal board to ask too :) I did price the car service which comes with a free grocery stop and its 100 plus tip. I might just do that but we will see :P

Lucky you!!

I do think I'll skip it for HS this time, that park is small enough, and just do MK.

Oh fun!! I still say skip the car service, you can buy a lot of milk, fruit, and cheese at the hotel for $100!lol

Lol true but about $50 of that would go to the cab driver! So just $50 for milk cheese and fruit :P
