***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

BOG is my last "wanted" ADR for this trip--we love it! I have a 9:05PM dinner on our MVMCP night, but I can't imagine using two hours of party time, or even an hour, to eat dinner during the shows! I still can't bring myself to cancel it. . . but I will!
Anyone crazy enough about BOG to want a 9:05PM dinner for 2 on 12/6?? Just let me know. . .
and the Grey Stuff IS delicious, I agree!

Not crazy at all. I just scored an Ohana dinner for my DS and I on 12/9 party night. He's going to be really excited. I don't care if we have to leave the park and return later. It's going to be a laid back weekend trip for just the two of us. Already have FP's for the rides we want to do on another day during the weekend. So it's not a problem if we can't get on certain rides that night. Really going to just enjoy the party and do what we want to do. Taking it easy with no hardcore set schedule.

Alright, I know we were talking about bags a while back. DH is carrying his backpack which will have ponchos, water bottles, and our fleece jackets if necessary.
However, I've been looking at the Vera cross body Mini-Hipster bag (the Minnie bird one or whatever?) and it is SO cute! My fave colors are black, pink and white and I'm so tempted to get it.
Does anyone have one or know the approx. size? I just want it to keep my phone, my tiny foldable wallet, and sunglasses.

I have a solid black one that I'm taking to Disney (I have a super cute Vera Disney backpack in the Mickey blooms print that I'm also carrying because of the kids stuff!). It's a small (a little more than a large wallet (more square) on a string.) Your phone will fit (it has a pocket to slide into it) and your sunglasses will fit if they are not the super bulky ones. Your wallet may or may not fit depending on the size, but the inside does have pockets for you to put in credit cards, etc. If you go to the Vera Bradley site (they don't have the Disney ones on there but they dimensions are the same) you'll see a video of the bag and the things you can fit in it.

I just made a slight adjustment to our touring plans as well and now have us set up like this:

3 early mornings (early flight>emm>early move to AoA) followed by a sleep in morning, then 2 early mornings (rope drop Epcot > rope drop AK) followed by a sleep in, then 2 possible early mornings followed by another sleep in, then our last park day which might end up being another EMM followed by a long day, then the day we leave (DME picks us up around noon).

I like getting the easy day every couple days there, it will hopefully keep us from wearing down too much.

Cool, thanks for the link. I think it's exactly the size I'm looking for. My wallet I'll carry is tiny. Just a foldable thing that fits folded cash on one side and an ID and credit card in the other.

I really need to get my wdw resort address saved in my Amazon profile ahead of time. Has anyone here ever had things shipped to you at wdw?
Huh, yeah, I'd actually like to know this too! (Where to find resort address

Lots of early mornings, but I hope the early nights will balance it out..
As always... Work in progress....
Thoughts are welcome here :)

Great plans!! :)

I think for 12/4 you could do Buzz FP or adventureland FP like Jungle Cruise/ Pirates?

For 12/7, if you're set on meeting Joy and Sadness, I would suggest that you meet them after FEA since lines are going to be long for that. (my plans is this exactly actually, lol) Maybe you could do Anna and Elsa with your later FP fror FEA.

Oh, I just thought of a way to get to see another deluxe resort's Christmas decorations while I'm there! I already have the monorail tour planned, and AKL on my last day for my Boma breakfast. I realized that I can take the bus to Wilderness Lodge on my arrival day (I'm really liking the convenience of Saratoga Springs, since I figure I can just walk over to Disney Springs to catch a bus to any resort. This is my plan for my switching resorts day too). I found out there's a 1.5 mile nature trail that connects WL and FW. So I can get there, scope out all the pretties in the lobby, then start my run from there, get to the campground and run the loop to see all the decorated campsites. Woot! Then, I can just bus back to DS and walk back over to SS. Hmmm, all I'll be missing now are the Boardwalk area resorts, which I've never actually EVER been to, not even the Boardwalk area. Not sure I'd be able to squeeze that in anywhere though, lolz.

I believe that trail between WL and FW is closed due to the construction in WL. The resort thread for the WL should have more current info on that though, I'd check there to be sure it's open.

We are staying at the BW, so that's the easiest area for us. Can you squeeze it in during or after an EP or HS day? You can walk to the BW from either park!

Good idea!! Thanks :) I wasnt sure how long those lines would be! I just reread it and I think I actually wanted to do them after Anna and Elsa before our spaceship earth Fp,. But if lines will even be long by then, I think I will go your route!!!

Oh, what a bummer. I'll amble over to that thread and see what I can find.

I could potentially hit the Boardwalk area after my Epcot or HS day. It will just depend on how much energy I have left, since I'll be staying through IllumiNations and JBJB, lol

You are right, and I should know better than to use that term (especially regarding anything with WDW!), so I edited it to "interested", lol!
A laid back trip sounds great!

We did B&C last time and it was good, but I'm more anxious to get my hands on something from Ample Hills this time! (I know you weren't talking to me, but I wanted to butt in with my unsolicited opinion)

I love it! You can always tour the monorail resorts while waiting for 1900 Park Fare dinner if you're early. Your schedule overlaps with mine! We're doing EMM as well 12/4 so look for the tags! :) We are also going to do Elena and maybe the parade that day as well. Looks like a good plan but I know the urge to tinker....I get it too.

I'm interjecting as well. B&C is Edy's and Ample Hills is homemade--no brainer on that one for me!

Speaking of ice cream...look what was just posted over on Disney Food Blog:

OMG, ice cream flight?!? Now I really need to make sure I get over to the Boardwalk! Ugh.

And, woohoo! Looks like my running idea might actually work out!:banana::banana::cool1::cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Oh, and @JamieOak and @Lisa F I ended up applying for and getting approved for the RED card, woot! I'm currently trying to figure out a rough estimate of how much $$ I'll need for food/drinks/souvenirs and will order the Disney gift cards with my RED card. Won't be a huge amount, so won't be giant savings but every little bit helps.

If I remember correctly from last time, you can tell the CM where you want to start-- Main Street, Adventureland, Liberty Square, or Fantasyland. I like to start on Main Street, since it is more compact (the portals are relatively close together). Each portal challenge sends you to a specific location to go to next, so you unfortunately can't stop by at any portal for the game. It is very popular--we have had to wait for a portal several times, but it gives you a chance to trade cards or chat with the other players (get tips, etc).
thank you, that is super helpful! I am sure he will LOVE collecting cards but how much we play remains to be seen :) it seems like you can just collect the cards too.
