***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Ok for those who were planning JTA at hs it looks like someone had h&v ppo today and had no issues signing up first thing and got 2 extra fp+ to boot. It seems to be random so just keeping fingers crossed!
we are planning to line up during EMH so not sure how that plays in :-p

I really need to get my wdw resort address saved in my Amazon profile ahead of time. Has anyone here ever had things shipped to you at wdw?

BOG is my last "wanted" ADR for this trip--we love it! I have a 9:05PM dinner on our MVMCP night, but I can't imagine using two hours of party time, or even an hour, to eat dinner during the shows! I still can't bring myself to cancel it. . . but I will!
Anyone crazy enough about BOG to want a 9:05PM dinner for 2 on 12/6?? Just let me know. . .
and the Grey Stuff IS delicious, I agree!

I may have an earlier BOG for that night for you. I currently have a 6:45 but I am searching for a 5pm Chef Mickey instead. Let me know if you are interested and I will let you know if/when I decide to drop the BOG.

@DisneyBelle27 and anyone else who is interested in buying Target gift cards to then buy Disney gift cards in store at Target...

Raise has a coupon code for an extra 3% off select gift cards all weekend and Target is one of the brands included. The code is TRICK3. It is one time use only. You kind of have to keep a lookout because the 5% and greater discount cards are listed and sold fast. But you all are pros at ADR stalking and it's easier than that I think. ;)

I just got another $300 worth at a total of 9% off. The egift cards are delivered immediately after the order is place. You then can save them to your Target account and pull them up on your phone via the Target app to use them to pay in store. I usually go through self-checkout aisles at Target, but that's not necessary.

I randomly booked a 9:35pm for our MVMCP night in case we loved it so much we wanted to eat there again. I will most likely cancel it though LOL

Hmmm, I think I'll do some considering on getting this card. I have 2 credit cards and try not to have a million different cards, but the perks might just be worth it. And thinking about the numbers, if I pay for my Disney hotel with my Disney Visa I'll get 1% back in rewards, but if I pay for it with 5%-discounted Disney GCs I'd be saving 5%. Definitely food for thought. Obviously, this would only be for when I book directly through Disney though. Sometimes the best room deal is through a site like Orbitz, and this time I actually went directly through a DVC owner who I trusted, and just Paypal'd them the money.

Btw, for anyone who is a sparkling water/seltzer fan, Target also sells (in store only) the greatest flavored sparkling water/seltzer OF ALL TIME, Spindrift. I've had their grapefruit, watermelon, raspberry lime, and blackberry flavors and they are all amazeballs. The only other place I've found it is Trader Joe's. I highly recommend it, it has actual real fruit juice in it, although it's def on the pricey side.
Have you tried Wegman'a sparking water?? They have a berry one that is delicious!

I didn't even read the link posted on this thread yet yet but DH (my second child) seems to be interested since it's free, LOL! But I doubt we would be seriously playing. Just the one offs probably? See, I have no idea how this games work.
I told DH about Club Villain and he got all excited and asked me when we were going. Then I told him it cost extra, and he was all "OF COURSE it's extra...it's Disney!!" :rotfl:
Then I mentioned the Sorcerers card game and how that was free and he was really excited about that. So from now on when I want to do something, I just need to tell him it's free!!:tiptoe:

@justcin711 , If you decide to drop it I AM SO INTERESTED! Just let me know--it is just my son and I, so I know we could be done relatively quickly. (He already knows what he wants--the steak and the Grey Stuff)! Either way--thanks! I'll keep eyes open for the Chef Mickey--how many ppl?

Alright, I know we were talking about bags a while back. DH is carrying his backpack which will have ponchos, water bottles, and our fleece jackets if necessary.
However, I've been looking at the Vera cross body Mini-Hipster bag (the Minnie bird one or whatever?) and it is SO cute! My fave colors are black, pink and white and I'm so tempted to get it.
Does anyone have one or know the approx. size? I just want it to keep my phone, my tiny foldable wallet, and sunglasses.

Ok, so I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly: even though I would be buying the Disney gift cards using the Target gift cards, I would still get the 5% off if I'm a RED Card member, even though I wouldn't actually be paying with the RED Card?

LOL, DS will chew on the cards... But I think we can pick up the free one pack from the firehouse and go from there. I guess I will need to read the link before going!

We did see it on our last trip and DH seemed interested... (but I wasn't... ) LOL!

You want him to love the World, so I say let him at it!

I may have misworded. You cannot get the 5% off RedCard discount if you pay with gift cards. Only on the portion of the purchase that you actually charge to the RedCard. I probably confused you because I mentioned that you used to be able to do that, but you cannot do that any longer, in store or online. Here's your options:

1. Buy Disney gift cards either online or in store from Target using the RedCard and get a 5% discount.
2. Buy Target gift cards through a reseller and use those to buy Disney gift cards in store only. This only makes sense if you can get the Target cards at a >5% discount.

haha well I think you hit certain spots in the MK for a "quest" (the map you pick up tells you where?) and you use the cards (you get a pack for free) to do spells to defeat the villains. Or you can just collect the cards. I think it taking so long to do a quest will mean we do one quest lol but that's fine, we will probably just hit stops when they are close to where we already are assuming you don't have to do it in order. but he LOVES collecting the cards so I think that will be an aspect.
If I remember correctly from last time, you can tell the CM where you want to start-- Main Street, Adventureland, Liberty Square, or Fantasyland. I like to start on Main Street, since it is more compact (the portals are relatively close together). Each portal challenge sends you to a specific location to go to next, so you unfortunately can't stop by at any portal for the game. It is very popular--we have had to wait for a portal several times, but it gives you a chance to trade cards or chat with the other players (get tips, etc).

Ahhhh, gotcha! Thanks for clarifying! I totally missed the either/or component to that, lol. I think for now I'll skip the Raise promo because at this point I only really need money for food/souvenirs for myself, so I don't think it's worth the little extra stress of stalking Raise for 5% discounted cards, lol. There aren't any there right now. I'll also have probably around $150ish in Disney Rewards from my credit card to use. Still debating applying for the RED Card though, lol. That might just be worth it regardless.

Thanks so much for all the helpful info!

I hope they do some sort of SW interactive game in a couple years. That would be so fun and I can only imagine the possibilities!
They have one--a pricey $499.99 (!!!) add-on, but it is there. It would be great if they would include a version of that, similar to Agent P, especially during all the construction at HS.

I think the RedCard would be the way to go if you don't need much. I find it is useful throughout the year.

Yeah, I don't count that cash-grab! I just want something along the lines of Agent P or SOTMK, something free or very low price that helps take up some time in between fastpasses or while waiting for a dinner reservation. :)
