***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I think I'll hold on to my existing one for now. Right now I have a 4:35pm time, so unless I find one that's more like 5:00-5:15pm, I'll just keep the one we have, or try to "un-Fantasmic" it closer to time. I do love that idea though of spreading a little magic and giving the passes away. It's very much in the Christmas spirit!

OOH I have heard too that when you check in you can tell them you don't want to do the package and they will just charge you for the dinner. This is a vague "coming back to me" memory of something I read on the boards once and filed it away for future reference but I am not 100% sure it is actually true or even still true. I think 5-5:15 is too late for F! so something might pop up!

I'm really bummed, too. Luckily my kids don't know we're going to WDW yet, but my DH and I were very much looking forward to this. Now we have to decide if we want to bother with the Christmas dessert party. My mom would probably like it, as would my youngest. Blargh....

ALSO - unrelated: Can someone tell me if I can make these plans work? We've never been and things got moved around when I booked my FPs. I'd like to try and get some rides in first thing before our 1st FP.

8:20 CP ADR (will try and check in early)
9:30 BTMRR
9:50 Splash
10:20 Peter Pan's Flight with FP+ (this is the end of our window)

It looks too rushed. I know the kids won't be super obsessed with having the characters come to our table at CP, but it's probably still going to take a good hour to eat, right? I'm going to have to drop one of those first two rides, aren't I? We're headed away from that area after PP.

That seems rushed to me. I don't like the idea of rushing a character meal. Can you slide your Peter Pan window a few minutes later to give you more time?

That makes sense, because I've also read on the boards that when you check in and don't have a package, they can convert you to a package if there is room with the show! I don't know if that is true, but that is my last hope for RoL if packages come up and I can't convert my Tusker meal to a RoL package ahead of time.

I was able to rebook my cancelled 3:05 Kali for a 3:00 Kali....so it turned out okay, but....it makes me nervous that they are just cancelling my fp's!!

You are not the only one this happened to. At least one other person on a FB group I'm part of posted the contents of an email from Disney cancelling their FP for Kali. They were rebooked on a safari. They were on 12/3 and their window was from 4-5 for Kali. Their theory was it had to do with River of Lights!

I just logged into my MDE and I noticed that all of the meet n greets for the princesses are available! It looks at though Elena will be with Cinderella. DD1 will be thrilled! She loves Elena!

The holiday show in DHS looks amazing too! It looks like it will run prior to Fantasmic? Anyone know?

15 mins apart right now. 6:45 for fireworks and 7pm for F!

that is what they were doing before too. 15 min apart, fireworks first so people don't stampede out of F! to try to catch fireworks.

I have to say for the first time in all the planning, I'm a little disappointed that we aren't going to HS at all this trip. We just don't have time, it's not our fave, and we decided to just wait until all the construction was done. But now the Christmas fireworks look so cool! You guys who go need to report back that they weren't all that great so that I feel better about myself

Yes I think they did it this way since ppl really cannot stampede into F! If it were the other way around I could see people leaving F! before the show ends and running to see the fireworks.

Gaaaaah. I guess I'll plan to skip splash and if we have time, we'll circle back later in the day. It's a lot more walking than I had hoped for, though. It almost seems pointless to walk all that way over just to do BTMRR.

I have 3 choices (party starts at 8:30) -
1- 11/27 after a 5:30 'Ohana Dinner
2-11/28 after F! Our meal at H&V 3:35
3- 12/2 our full day in Epcot (I can change our dinner reservation)

What do y'all think?

Ugh, having issues with Touring Plans. I can't "tweak" my plans because I have a Rapunzel meet & greet there that they claim has been closed permanently. The removed the Rapunzael and Visiting Princess, and Cinderella and Visiting Princess, but haven't added the Cinderella/Elena or Rapunzel/Tiana combination yet. I was trying to tweak my plan to remove Haunted Mansion on the 12/4 date and add it to 12/5 (when I think it will be open again!)

Learned in another facebook group that Princess Elena meeting with Cinderella is up for a fastpass today! Rapunzel is with tiana! Starts officially at the the end of November! Haven't verified myself. I don't know about rearranging now. I'll be there three days so might need to try for a SDFP.

Also, like Kali, I did not get an email about this for my fp.. I'd be really disappointed if this happened with other "big" rides .... I wish they'd give us some early notice to change fp ( like, this will be happening, we suggest you change it before we do it for you )

I just got an email saying my Kali River Rapids fp was no longer available and they selected dinosaur for me! What the heck? What's happening?

No...I'm not riding dinosaur.....why would they get rid of Kali? Is something happening with the ride?

@tacboze Same happened to me! I don't go in and check fp unless I plan to change something , which isn't too often. I was really shocked they changed mine to dinosaur! We won't be riding that. My fp was for 330, and I could rebook for 3.. Not bad, but a bit annoying .

I have a Kali FP on 11/28 and haven't received an email yet.

Choice 2 or 3 sound good. I'm leaning towards 12/2 so it's less of a hassle but if you're headed to Epcot after F! Anyway, it's a good choice so you don't need to stake out a spot for illuminations.

I'm going to book 12/3 for desert party if I could get through. 22mins and counting...

Well, I just checked our fastpasses at AK for Tuesday, November 29, and they're all still intact. I have DINOSAUR from 6:30-7:00 (AK closes at 7 I guess?) so if they were changing things around due to ROL I'd think I would see a change to that one (potentially).

This is REALLY a stretch . I tend to overanalyze but... Maybe the power used up by Kali for the water would affect the intensity of the RoL water show?... Disclaimer: I am no engineer/ physicist/ scientist or whoever would possibly know about this.

I don't think so. I'm sure they run on completely separate water sources. What would be more likely is if they're planning to shut down Kali and EE during ROL to avoid any noise conflicts.
