***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

If you're going to twist my arm like that.....well, okay!! :D WL is now on a list! I appreciate the input! :thumbsup2

I called. Because that's what I do! lol I talked to someone *AT* WL. She said they don't have a schedule yet, but typically Santa only makes appearances on Christmas Eve. It's possible he would appear other times but nothing that would be in a schedule or that could be planned on. So it looks like it's a non-Santa visit, but I'm still excited to check out the resort. And maybe enjoy a meal of some sort...:ssst: I have the whole day of the Christmas party open, so I'm thinking a pre-party WL visit might be a good plan. ;)
Sorry and forgot to add, thanks for calling @Talby !! :) I guess we will stick with Mr and Mrs Claus at EPCOT :P

this is the only resort that I don't really have in my schedule! we have dinner at CR, GF, Poly, and are staying at BWV and AK in addition to the poly. We are going to do Hoop Dee Doo, just wondering if maybe we should stop at WL on the way back or something. or maybe on the way over if we leave a bit early.
I think I made room to visit all the deluxe resorts, staying at Swan and CR then having meals at GF, CR, Poly, BW then passing by AKL, BC/YC and WL... I really want to see all the Christmas decorations! :D

when did you switch to the swan? lol

Oh great! I think I'm at my limit for following threads right now, but I found it over there on the 2nd page. Here's the times:

The schedule is out. Starting October 2nd
Here are the set times
9:05, 9:15, 10, 10:15, 11:45, 11:55, 12:10, 1:15, 1:25, 2:20, 3:35, 3:45, 4:25, 4:35

i just noticed another post with slightly different times:
The online schedule for MK now has the show scheduled... at least for the first week. The times on the website are...

Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:15a, 10:15a, 11:55a, 1:25p, 3:45p, 4:35p

Monday, Wednesday, Saturday: 9:30a, 10:35a, 11:40a, 1:25p, 3:45p, 4:40p

I suppose it's 6of1, 1/2dozen of the other as they are such short shows.

this might be a "check the times guide when you arrive" time... it's a good thing to do after a nice nap at the hall of presidents :)

We have a WCC breakfast ADR on the 6th and a dinner at AP on the 7th, so I'd say we are covered lol. Seriously love this resort so much!

seriously wondering if i should give up my kona breakfast for breakfast at the WL on our last day. it means getting up earlier and getting over there.

@Candycane83 The menu has changed a little, but we've always enjoyed the mushroom bisque, salmon and cobbler in the past. Pretty sure M has his eye on the buffalo this time. Oh and we've always had the most impeccable service there, even when my niece was young.

:offtopic: for anyone going to Universal and hoping to book character dining, they only book one month in advance. Also, for those looking for reservations for Toothsome (@Mal6586 @areno79 @JamieOak ) the guy mentioned that it is walk in now but they will most likely be taking reservations by December, just call in November. :P

@LBlovesM&WDW sorry forgot you were heading to Universal too!

Cool, thanks for the heads up. Like everything with Universal, I have no idea where we're eating. Or what we're doing LOL

I agree with you on how some situations can be annoying (like a screaming kid in a restaurant) but that doesn't mean I am judging the parents, as you said. The only thing I can think of that does make me "judgy" is when folks are rude to other people and/or selfish. The basic disrespect for other humans kind of things. And by that I mean by adults, not even kids. They kind of touched on that in the Blackish episode, which I watched last night, when they were going through the FP/VIP lane past all the 'poor saps' standing in the general admission line and boasting about it. haha. It was funny because it's a comedy show, but that kind of attitude is basically what is my pet peeve. And I'm sure I'll see some of that at Disney in a way. Pushing, cutting, etc. But overall I expect people are all just trying to survive their vacation and have the best time possible and are not going to behave like that.

I actually get kind of bummed sometimes that we aren't going to have kids with us to enjoy the experience with, especially when I'm looking at MK plans. My nieces went with my sister and mom back in Feb for cheerleading and I was so bummed. For one, they didn't even invite me! haha. They didn't really plan anything, but they still had a good time. I wish I could've seen it though, instead of just hearing it afterwards. But other times I am glad we are getting to go as adults first, before we take our future kids. Consider it a preparation trip for the future!

Yesterday I watched something my Tivo recorded because I set up a Disney keyword so it records anything with the word disney in it. It was on TCM station and it was a Walt Disney show that aired in 1966 about Disneyland. He talked about the it's a small world ride grand opening and showed a ride through. At the end they showed the Fantasy on Parade (?) and it looked really fun! Goofy got out of his broken looking car and did a little routine trying to fix it. Reindeer pulled kids out of the crowd on the sidewalks to come dance in the middle. I loved when they showed video of the crowd reactions and the kids with big smiles on their face. I mention this because this was one of those times I was a little bummed that we won't have any kids with us.

I SO agree with you. The biggest issue I have at Disney is rude people. We ALL are on vacation trying to have a good time; it's no excuse for people to act like jack@$$e$. I was bothered by that part in the episode as well. I generally dislike people who feel entitled, and unfortunately there are a lot of those people out there!

We are a little sad we're going to be without kids this time. Mostly because seeing all the happy children is another reminder of our infertility issues. But, I love Disney so much, I'm sure there will be plenty of unruly children to quell that feeling. :rotfl:

lol you beat me to it!
Your son and my DH would probably have a blast together. Since you know, my DH is basically a large child. LOL Plus, he misses having my nephew around...we only have nieces that live near us, and DH just can't relate to them like he can my nephew (who lives in Texas.)

Oh yay!! I love the Muppets!

What did you like at AP? I'm again thinking of switching my plans on my last day! :rotfl:

You and your switching! I thought *I* was indecisive, but girl, you take the cake!! :thumbsup2

Ok... I need some opinions. I've attached a grid that I made for all our days. I have a big open space on 12/2.....

Which park woukd you go to.... MK or EP?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...g4_1KEvAzAVTIQMCiWGzURY/edit?usp=docslist_api

I think your days are more booked than mine, haha. I'm actually wanting to recommend that you fill that space with both HS and EP, just so you can say you went to all 4 parks in one day! :P

What is the safari you are doing at 10pm? Is that the one offered at AKL?

@Iowamomof4 Epcot is what my gut is telling me.... My DD keeps saying MK... I think we have enough MK and that spot would be perfect for a late start in EP. I'm thinking first FP at 11:00 am

@JamieOak Yes, it's the twilight safari.

My current plan for that day is late start (MVMCP night before), FP for FEA around noon, Tutto Italia at 12:30 for lunch, then more WS touring for the rest of the day. If anyone in our group is antsy, they can hop over to DHS for a ride or two. I'll probably schedule throw-away fastpasses for 9 and 10:00 so we can try for Soarin' or test track after we're done with FEA.

OH..... great idea for the throw away FP!!!!! and being at EP would make any easy transition to DHS... we were planing on going there for EMH that night... or AK for ROL. I've now decided it will be an EP late start day
