***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

cute but kiddo is not super into pirates. we go on boats all the time (live on an island) so that is not a huge thrill. He goes on this boat nearly once a week in camp, sometimes to sail around and sometimes to just jump off into the harbor (not sure what else they do those days lol)

I'm not sure that pontoon boat would impress him :rotfl:(yes my child is somewhat spoiled)

LOL! Mine has never been on a boat yet I think... :P I'm not sure it would be impressive for him, too but he might enjoy the pirates. :P I'm still thinking about what to do... DH prefers MK on the last night so it's a toss up between attending a second xmas party or pirates and pals or maybe just have a nice dinner and resort hop... then they can sleep while I sneak to California grill (that's the cheapest option since it'll cost one or two drinks only, LOL)

xmas party the night before you go is rough. it is a very late and exhausting night to be going into a travel day with it even if you are traveling later in the day. do I need to repost my buzz pic? lol that was at like 4pm. I would go to MK until dinnertime, have a nice dinner closeby (mk or monorail), then go back to pack and chill out. If you are up to it and not sleepy I would wander out to the beach for fireworks and the electrical water pageant. that is as close to MSEP as you're gonna get :p

BY the way, the bridge between the CR and BLT is, if I remember correctly, also an excellent viewing area for fireworks (not so high up) and electrical water pageant. I have caught both from there a few times. not a great place to hang out though since it's just a bridge and you have to stand but...

Yes! I'm in danger of getting the same picture! LOL! The xmas party would be the same as Pirates and Pals though... which is I'm thinking of scrapping it and just doing a nice dinner and resort hop a little, then rest. We have a brunch in the morning so I can go up to Cali Grill for fireworks viewing (alone! LOL) without having to pay, but I hate heights (love roller coasters, just do not like standing close to ledges and such).

I don't like ledges either. CA Grill is pretty enclosed though, it doesn't feel like you could possibly fall (which is my big concern anxiety about heights. if i feel like i could fall forget it. roller coasters do not bother me as i am strapped in). i guess you don't have a theme park view huh? lol

No, I opted for the cheapest room I could get in prime location! ;) That's how I justify doing DxDP

I would take it if I were you! I am confident the PAR-TAY will be happening

Hey @areno79 I missed what @Lisa F said here! If you want it now, it's yours. If you want to wait, no problem. Either way, it's all good! :thumbsup2 It's not in my way of making another ADR or anything. :) Sorry I missed this--just kinda skimming here today as I have an 18-YEAR-OLD's birthday party I'm prepping for! :scared1::sad::D :yay:(<---I'm all these things today!! lol)

Speaking of bouncing all over the place...@Candycane83 I swear, I'm not laughing *AT* you as you bounce around planning your last night! But I am laughing! Lol...you're so fun! :) :jumping1:

Ok guys! I've noticed that a lot of you are starting to Post your park day itineraries!! I do like to plan , and I think that the key to being really flexible is actually being very well prepared and having plans!! But, right now, as I'm trying to write an itinerary for our first MK day, I don't have times down for non fp rides. For example, I know when EMM ends, and I know I'd like to do a few rides in fantasyland before our first fp ( which will hopefully be 11-12 HM. Next will be 12-1 and 1-2. In between there id like to hit a few things like tom sawyer island etc.. ( btw is country bear jamboree still there?) . In other words, I don't have times planned for other things besides fp. im getting a bit nervous that that's not sufficient. What do you think?

I am aware that for certain shows ( flights of wonder and lion king I can include show times in the itinerary:) )

Hey everyone, sorry to be a humongous pain, but I have a question about the mvmcp tickets :( so, I just got the hard tickets in the mail ( yippee!!!) but they say fast pass+ on them. I'm really confused. I thought I just booked 3 fp on my window day for the MK for the hours of (4-7) so what I do with these cards besides use them for entry ( in addition to the reservation on my mb) ?

We got our MNSSHP tickets in the mail last week and they have Fastpass+ on them. They are also cute animal pictures. Mine has an elephant and DH has a giraffe and some zebras. It looks like Disney had printed up a bunch of cards to hand out for the fp+ program but decided not to use them. So they decided to save money and re-purpose them for the parties. ;)

This will be our third party in three years and all of the plastic cards were generic Disney pictures. I wouldn't worry about what the card looks like.

i've been watching SDFP and pirates and magic carpets has TONS of availability, jungle cruise is far more spotty and has later return times. the wait times reflect that too - much longer wait times on jungle cruise than pirates.

IMO these are the best SDFPs to make (have been watching a while) in the MK with ** for the ones that have longest wait times (this does not include character m&g, have not been following those at all):

small world
buzz **
dumbo
mad tea party
philharmagic
pirates
magic carpets
tomorrowland speedway **
monster's inc
haunted mansion **

second best (usually have availability in the morning for later in the afternoon pr evening)
space mountain
jungle cruise
splash mountain

you MAY get late night availability or may be all gone
peter pan

forget it
7DMT

not sure where BTMRR will fall on the list since it's been down for refurb but I am assuming in second best.

Seriously, THIS is the list I've been looking for. Sounds like my plan to FP+ and SDFP others will work (with your suggestion to FP+ Jungle Cruise.) Thank you again for your help!

I've been wondering about enchanted tales with belle... I want to try it but not sure DH and DS would like it... :rotfl:

This! I've never done it. I love Belle, but not sure if it's worth my time to wait.

The train has three stops, Frotierland, Fantasyland and Main Street. If you want to go to Tomorrowland then you can get off at Fantasyland and take the sidewalk that is behind the Tomorrowland Speedway. It is a shortcut to Space Mountain.

This is lot of fun and perfect for that age group.
Yes, it is like a play where kids in the audience are given roles to play. Every kid in the audience who wants a role is given something to do in the play. And at the end they all get their picture taken with Belle. There is a Photopass photographer there to take pictures of everyone. Your kids would love it.

I think that Enchanted Tales with Belle is usually a walk on during the Christmas party. So if you don't want to use a fp+ on a regular park day then you can plan to go when lines are short during MVMCP. My grandkids did this attraction during MNSSHP and it was a walk on.

Oh yes, that's a good idea about the walkway; I know I have used it in the past.

Also, I like your suggestion to try Belle during MVMCP. That may be a better strategy for me than trying to fit it in during my full MK day.

I'll keep it safe and sound in my MDE until we know. ;) And while I've got you here...I crack up every time you talk about your DH strategy (not mentioning the Tiki Room I think it was for instance). You girls are so funny about your DH's. It's like it's own strategy category...ADR strategy, FP strategy, DH strategy! lol

Aww, thanks for holding onto it for me. We do have it for lunch on 12/6, but because my H&V that day is so early, it may make sense to switch it to an early dinner before SWGS. I'll let you know, and if for some reason you need to cancel it, go ahead.

The struggle is real with my DH. I love him but do not trust him when it comes to something as important as my Disney vacation!! :rotfl2:

Yes, if ever I do decide to do it, I would definitely do FP... but I'm not sure if I'm wasting my Fp sine I cant see DS2 knowing how to participate...

It's like a viscous cycle with DH! I want his opinion but I do not... I can't decide and need to talk about it but I somehow cant take his opinion (which he forgets about 20mins later) seriously!

@Talby This is why I bounce so much! I decide and talk about it with him and get his opinion... In the end, I need to decide and it's so hard. Part of me thinks it'll be fun, its our last night and we need to go out with a 'magical' experience... the other part of me remembers @Lisa F 's photo and I start backing out of my hard decision! :joker: I'm still torn but at least I can hold onto the Pirates and Pals reservation until closer to the date. Stay tuned for the next change in plans! :Pinkbouncpopcorn::

Holy cow! I feel like I just won an ADR lottery-- I've been looking for a PPO breakfast on our MK Monday morning and I just found a BOG one for 8am. That will help us eat fast and get in good positioning for some Fantasyland rides since we're not doing EMM. Woo hoo!!

It really is hard to not be too ambitious with planning, but Disney sure doesn't help by forcing us to plan everything! I am the same way though; I am probably the most indecisive person ever. On top of it I have major FOMO, so I overplan until I'm exhausted. It's a tough spot to be in for sure so I feel for you. :lmao:

Oh yay!!:cheer2: I love when that happens!! It's like a Fairy Godmother came and blessed you or something! LOL

LOL I'm the same way!!! OMG! It's too much sometimes, I have too many emails from booking and cancelling ADRs since my 180 that my mailbox is clogged up! :rotfl2: I'm sure if I retain any memories of my dreams, I would probably remember nightmares of trying to fit everything in! :faint:

EDIT: I'm not expecting to go back anytime soon (was thinking at least 3years) but eyeing the 25% off tickets for Canadian residents! :rolleyes1
