***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

On the subject of kids and melt downs. All kids have them. I pretty much never judge anyone anymore. We parents have all been there at least once.

I was never a more perfect parent than before I had my own kids! lol :) I used to volunteer for a really awesome nonprofit where I was sort of an advocate for families with children having special needs. A real eye-opener for that sort of judgement, and not always pretty. One just never knows what is going on beneath the surface. And that's actually true across the board I think, special needs or not. But I'm in your non-judgemental boat. :wave2: Judgment is the very last thing a parent/child in a meltdown situation needs. I try to catch the parent's eye if I can and offer a supportive smile. You're so right--we've all been there!

Hey guys.. I wanted to see if any of you had heard of this before..., I read in some board that this guest was nervous to book the mvmcp on his account and magic band for fear that Disney's system would accidentally count his entering the MK at 4 as him using one of him "park day tickets" rather than just him entering with the party ticket. The last thing I'd need is for us to go to our last park the next day and being turned away if something like that ever happened. Have you ever heard of this?.., seems a bit rudiculous? But I guess I could see how it may happen?

If that were to happen, it would totally be fixable with a trip to guest services outside the park. I agree with Mal6586 though, if you go through the correct tapstiles (it'll be obvious), it shouldn't be a problem.

Hmm, if this is really a concern, I would get the hard tickets and use that so there's no confusion.

My eyes are bugging out of my skull because I've been analyzing 54,000 rows of data in Excel all morning, so I came by here for a break. :crazy2:
Talking about Disney is my happy place. *sigh* Anything new going on?

@areno79 - surprisingly, I have not had any spreadsheets open today. I had a bunch of calls and I should be finishing slides for a presentation to my leadership team, but I'm tired. We have 1/2 day Friday's through all of daylight savings time so I shouldn't even still be working.

I especially liked her idea of eating at about 9:45 and grabbing a couple pastries to go. I think I'm looking forward to this event way more than MVMCP simply because it's easier for me to imagine the flow and what it will be like. Crowds are so NOT my thing, I'm looking forward to being in Fantasyland and being able to put my arms straight out and not be able touch anyone! I sure hope we can make it work. We have 2 days it works with our schedule (3, if we push it a bit) and I have a feeling it'll be hard to resist doing it a 2nd time, though the price will help curb that desire I'm sure.

@Iowamomof4 and @Talby - I'm really looking forward to this too! We're signed up for 12/4.

I'm a little behind on my intro. I did a quick one a couple weeks ago?

We are going Dec 4-10. Staying at Poly 4-9 then switching over to POR princess room for the 9th, going home on the 10th.
Who's going- me(Angela), DH, DD-8, DD-4

The plans so far...
Saturday we will stay in Jacksonville.
Sunday-Magic Kingdom. We all want to get the customized MB so we'll do that first and DD8 wants to ride Space Mountain for the first time. We'll check in to Poly and hang out there the rest of evening and hopefully watch firework from the beach.
Monday- RD Epcot for TT. Lunch at San Angel inn. Kids are doing Lilos playhouse and DH and I are going to shop and explore Main Street.
Tuesday- Animal Kingdom just for a few hours. Rest and MVMCP.
Wednesday- Taking it easy this morning.Kona cafe for breakfast. Epcot afternoon. Dinner at Via Napoli.
Thursday- PPO breakfast at CRT. MK until afternoon and then rest and back for MVMCP.
Friday- check out of Poly at 11 and head to HS.Check in at POR.
Saturday- Explore hotel or Disney Springs. Then leave...

@JainaAlice - I think your plans line up the closest to mine: MK on the 4th, Epcot on the 5th (and probably HS in afternoon/evening), and then Tuesday MVMCP :-)

Feeling accomplished on the home front, I've been saying I will clean out my basement for the past 2 years. Finally actually got down to business last weekend and today I had a company come and take out a respectable pile of junk (18 year old tv, hundreds of pounds of old computer equipment/servers - my DH's hobby, non-working weed wackers - how were there 3 in the basement???!!???, etc). Now, there is actually a big space where I can start going through all of my other stuff. I need to be more ruthless about donating stuff that I don't use any more. It's just so hard! (I'm a repressed hoarder)

I thought about this! How do you go about that? I read about booking the party on a separate account. I remember you guys discussing that for sdfp. But, being a newb I feel that the one dummy account for the second set of bands I'm planning to buy is enough " off the radar " for me to handle! :)

Ah, I'm not sure how to go about that. I just bought mine with my account and it's hooked there. Not planning on SDFP then since I'm not planning to enter MK until 5/5:30 to make it to BOG dinner. I want my little one rested before I enter MK. :P

As for the hard tickets, you just need to pick the option of delivering it to you. :)

Sorry to change the subject... but I just wanted to make sure I'm on the right page on booking fastpasses. It's 60 days at 7am, right? And if I'm going on Dec 3, my FP booking day will be Oct 4, correct?

I don't know if the link will work here but I just read a fantastic review of EMM at MK!

http://wdwprepschool.com/a-review-of-early-morning-magic-fantasyland/

This matches everything I have read about EMM @MK (been stalking it since it started). Glad to hear she specifically says ADR people were not allowed to start riding until 9:00am. I saw other people post that they were letting them ride before 9:00 or even EMM customers being told they had to get in the regular line before 9:00am. Hopefully Disney continues to keep it like this. Otherwise, they should only promise EMM exclusive use until 8:45.

Oops!! I wasn't clear! :) I meant I thought about what you suggested!! I was wondering how to go about getting card tickets! Thanks for answering!! I don't want to get involved with sdfp on the party tickets.
In the end.. I'll likely just get it on the bands. Less to think about, and like everyone said. It can be taken care of at guest services!:smickey:

Yep, just have them delivered to you when you book the party. They'll still be linked in your MDE account, but if you use the actual ticket to enter rather than your magicband, you won't have to worry. You can then use your magicband for your fastpasses just like usual.

In Excel, I calculate 10/4 is 60 days out and yes, everyone says 7:00 AM Eastern/US time.

I just put that date into a Disney booking calculator and October 4 came back as your FP day! :)

Thanks! LOL, I just wanted to be doubly sure! I used the calendar in the bank so that should be correct. And now to make multiple reminders on my calendars! LOL

My FP day is Wednesday September 28th. It's so quickly approaching! I guess I'll have to take my computer and hide out in an empty conference room at work to make them.

I know you got your answer already from a few of these great ladies, but you can see this in MDE too if you want to. :) There's probably another way, but I just:
~Click My Reservations and Tickets
~Under FastPass+ Section (way at the bottom under ADRs) you'll see "planning page" (it's in blue and clickable when hovered over). Click that.
~Click "Make selections"

And it should say: You may begin making selections on 10/04/2016. :)
