***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

if you haven't ordered them yet it is simple. Order the PHYSICAL tickets (not e-tickets) and do NOT link them to your primary MDE account. You have to link them elsewhere, either create phantoms in your primary account (so you are Minty Cake and you have another person called Minty T. Cake) and link them to those. OR create an entirely new MDE account and link them to that account. Then you will be able to use that ticket media (the cards) both for SDFP AND for FP+ planned 30 days in advance of just the day you are going to the party (not 60 because they are linked to phantoms who are NOT staying onsite at disney). Hope that makes sense.
My fear is because I'm in Canada I won't be able to order them. They don't send magic bands here so I don't know if they would send the tickets.

they might send tickets because it's just in an envelope, maybe no customs issues.

I did will call for tickets. They do offer shipping but it's $25 I think.
Will call at park? That's good. Can you pick up before rope drop?

This brings up another point. Dd and I have 6 day tickets but dh has a 5 day. He got a 1 day travel agent one that he needs to pick up at will call. So we can't do advance fast passes for him on the last day of vacation for him which is our last mk day. I'm wondering how to plan adrs around this assuming I use SDFP

I think you SHOULD be able to do it for him until you check out. I guess I am not 100% sure but i think the advance FP+ is tied to your length of vacation stay not your length of ticket stay and is just activated on or off by having tickets attached to your account. The only exception are the party tickets which are only good for that day.

But let's say you have a 7 night stay and 5 day hopper... what if you take two days off mid vacation? you can still book through to the end.

I am checking in on 12/2 and assume I can make FP+ through the end of my vacation even though I only have 7 day hoppers and I will be there for 8 days.

There is something you print after buying the tickets. I think you can pick it up at guest services (it says ticket sales office). Mine says any time before Aug 11 since that's when I bought the ticket. :)

Oh, happy day!!!!! I kept hitting refresh on my Fantasmic Dining Package search and one came up!!!! I had a brief scare when I got an "internal error" message, but a quick screen refresh made things ok. I think you all were right that the lunch is easier than the dinner. Good thing I have young ones who are dying to meet Sofia the 1st, Doc McStuffins, Handy Manny and Jake, and who will get to meet the Fab 5 at another meal! I'm going to keep looking for you all and if I see a dinner I will reserve it-- I created a profile under my DH's name that I use for snagging additional ADRs.

One quick question on the Fantasmic lunch-- we are on the regular Disney Dining Plan. We won't be charged anything out of pocket for attending the Fantasmic lunch, correct? I still need to cancel my regular lunch reservation and just want to make sure one last time that there's not a fee associated with this that I don't know about. Sorry to ask so many questions on it!

~*~*CONGRATULATIONS!!~*~* I think it would be so fun to have a little counter by the search button. I would love to know how many search clicks it has taken to get some of these ADRs! lol :) So happy you got it!! :-) I cancelled a lunch H&V F! and there were no associated fees with that.

@chasingthtdream08 and @Minjewmulloy You've both been added! :thumbsup2

just cancel it, no fee associated.

I'm not sure what your timing is but if you preferred the timing of your non F! lunch you can check and see if once you release it if that timing comes available for you to book under F!. does that make sense? it may pop right back up (this happened with me - I booked 3:45 F! dinner and released my 4:30 non F! dinner. I hit refresh and the 4:30 dinner was available under F!).

I know, @Talby. So many clicks! But I think since I only started the lunch Fantasmic search yesterday my clicks are minimal compared to other. My question about associated fees was not in regards to cancellation, but if there was an out of pocket surcharge for the Fantasmic lunch if you are disney Dining Plan. It doesn't look at it, but wanted to check with others that have the Fantasmic meal booked. If it's say going to cost me $10 per person out of pocket for the F! then I would keep the original non-Fantasmic lunch and try for SDFP. I think I'm good though and there are no additional charges. My confirmation page says it's 1 Table Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan and doesn't mention a surcharge.

no surcharge, still 1TS. one of the best values out there on DDP!

Great plans! did you know that trails end is only buffet at breakfast and dinner? it has a limited TS menu at lunch. Not sure if you were thinking the menu was the same at lunch and dinner but people seem to vastly prefer dinner to lunch.

Welcome! Great plans. The cabins look like such a great time to me. I'd love to stay there sometime!

I'm a little late to see your post, but wanted to let you know that for the past couple of weeks, Universal has been sending out B1G2 days free on P2P tickets (get a 3 day P2P for the price of 1 day!), good through the end of the year. I took advantage of the deal and got two adult three day park to park tickets for around $330. I'm also a huge HP fan, so it made it a little easier for me to fork out the money knowing that I had the flexibility to visit the park a few separate times instead of trying to cram it all into one visit!

Depending on your plans, maybe this would work for you too! There's a thread on the Universal board that has more info!

Really? I need to check my old email account to see if I have that offer. We're already planning on buying the 1 day park hopper ticket. If I could get two free days in the park, we'll extend our trip by two days. I wish I could just add on 2 days to my free dining package, but I know I won't be able to do that. (I could add another signature dining experience somewhere!), so I would just get a separate 2-day room discount reservation. Off to check email then that thread!

Well, thought I'd share here some grief I've been going through. It's been a journey, but, I think I've decided not to get the Disney floral in room tree. Ever since a friend told me about it years ago I've always wanted one. I thought, man, when we go to WDW around the holidays I'm definitely going to get it.

Anyway, I can rationalize paying for anything, but I don't think I want to go $400 for the larger tree. And I'm not digging the $200 tree. It's not that cute to me. So, I came here for grief counseling. I'm pretty sure no one else here wanted it, but I'm betting you guys will understand my pain of FOMO of letting something go at Disney. Oh, and I'm all for being talked into it if anyone makes a great argument for it.
