***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

@1437disney You could go on a carriage ride, explore EPCOT as adults and just stroll, have a romantic dinner at Artist Point or another signature, have a bowling night at Splitsville.

All those days that have none ought to be AK so that's really strange. Maybe they're waiting to see what all happens with the night time stuff. Perhaps they're hoping to add pm emh to AK at some point?
AK info is missing past june or july i think? something like that. I think it is because they don't know what is going on with RoL... right now it is the jungle book show but they really don't know yet i guess.

the days are about what i expected. I want to get the Jedi Training Academy thing out of the way and now I'm thinking about what else I want to do there and it's nto a whole lot. opening time lunch at Sci Fi. toy story. star tours. great movie ride. the stunt spectacular. what else?? my kid won't do ToT again, we won't do RnR. what else is there to even do??? glad we have parkhoppers lol

we have a different evening planned hoping for F! and fireworks.

I know the hours for AK aren't updated, I mean it is strange that they have apparently stopped scheduling emh at AK during our trip.

December 3rd and 5th have none.
Dec. 4th has early HS
Dec. 6th has late at EP
Dec. 7th has late at MK
Sorry that was all I needed because we leave 3am on Dec 8th. I hope it helps you. I find it weird that so many days do not have EMH. Is this normal? I am hoping they will add them later to AK.
I'm hoping this means that MK will have low crowd levels on the 4th! Party night and no morning EMH.

From that schedule we won't be doing any EMH this trip, but that's ok. The only ones we used last time were the nighttime hours at MK. (We depart on the 7th so can't repeat that)

@Lisa F somehow I plan just to have one afternoon until evening and another evening at DHS. I only have toy story, Disney junior planned besides F! and fireworks...

I agree this is odd that there seem to be no EMH posted for certain days. Does this mean they are placeholders for AK? I thought there were EMH every day. Perhaps I'm wrong though.

As for our DHS day, we're doing RD for Jedi training academy, 50s prime time cafe (not sure if lunch or dinner), The Frozen show, The Little mermaid show, the B&B show, TSMM, ToT, RnR, and the star wars stuff including star tours and M&G for Kylo and Chewie. I think it will be a nice full day with a short break back to the hotel for pool and nap and then come back for Fantasmic and/or Star Wars fireworks. (We don't have park hoppers).

Now with the hours we've noted I'm wondering if I should switch my first day to Epcot or MK. Although people say MK is not recommended for Saturday? (Opinions?) And if we take advantage of EMH at HS on Sunday, will they let us sign up for Jedi training early?

I was checking the latest sale on Southwest, not expecting to find the December dates on sale, since those dates weren't included in their posted sale dates, and I found $119 one way from Chicago Midway to Orlando on Dec 3rd. I have not seen Saturday airfare that low since our January trip. The only problem was that there was only one ticket that was $119. By the time I finished buying my ticket the $119 price was gone. I could only get a ticket for $139 for my husband. Southwest is funny. I guess I'll have to keep watching. I haven't bought the return trip on Dec 7th yet. I am expecting that price to go a lot lower.

We will be in WDW on our ADR date of June 6th. The only restaurant I'm worried about is Yak & Yeti. I wasn't able to get a decent time for that restaurant during our October trip, and I really want to get one for December.

I need help please. On my birthday (Dec. 6) my mom is taking our kids, so what is the best thing to do? I was thinking HDR (but I am a picky eater and will not eat anything off the menu), MVMCP or see La Nouba? Whatever we chose will be out of pocket. Or does someone else have another suggestion? This will be my DH and I first date night since our 10th anniversary (4 yrs ago). I am so excited.
We have had fun just getting to do things that we couldn't do with the kids in tow, like have a nice dinner without having the kids around. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from. If you want to stay in the WDW park and resort area, then you could consider dinner at Epcot and wandering the World Showcase, taking your time to enjoy the evening. The Candlelight Processional will be going on and you might want to watch that without the kids.

You could also eat at one of the Epcot resort area restaurants and wander through there. Or you could stick to the MK resort area. There are some nice resort lounges you could visit, like Trader Sam's at the Poly or Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge. And there is Disney Springs with a lot of fun restaurants to try.

I'm going to say it again- I'm extremely jealous of you Southwest people!!!! I have not booked our flights yet, still can't find any for less than $475 + 4 checked bags...I may cut the bags down to 3 though..and ship all of our purchases home.

I'm on the same boat! It's CAD1700 on westjet for myself, DH and DS2...:faint:

We have SW but sometimes Delta seems to have better pricing (I know you have to pay for checked bags). United is also sometimes competitive. We're in a holding pattern right now (ha!) waiting for prices to come down for the Monday after Thanksgiving. I looked into arriving earlier but we just can't afford more days and I like my trip the way it looks right now. So we wait. :)

I think they usually have one evening and one morning per park per week? but not 100% sure about that. I feel like I have sometimes seen them have morning at one park and evening at another on the same day. I think the xmas party stuff throws a monkey wrench into the works as well.

I always fly delta to FL. They have the only morning direct flight to the cities that we visit there.

They will lower the prices...I just know it!! PPT, right?lol

I think you're right. well, it's Disney so I guess they can be random! LOL

I BOOKED THE VIP TOUR.

...and now I have 2 new wrinkles, sweaty palms, and may be feeding my kid rice and beans for the next 12 months ;).

I just couldn't handle stressing about it one more day, @Lisa F your Jedi Training post put me over the top. Although I thought I would automatically be given a spot, and that's not the case- there is not JTA schedule past August at this time. So, my contact said she can not "guarantee" it, but that she will call me in August as soon as November schedules are released. No JTA availability would be a deal breaker for me, and she said that although can guarantee, she doesn't think it will be an issue.

Room discount and lower flight fares are mandatory now!lol.

Morning everyone! I called Disney this morning, and they just released the entire month of December 2016 hours! I've been in the same boat; ADRs next week, and no crowd calendars have been available to help us make park/ADR decisions because no hours were posted. Good luck!

Update from another thread:

"Just checked the TA calendar and the Disneyworld.com calendar. Nothing showing there for public consumption as of 10AM, EDT."

Perhaps at least for now, hours are only available over the phone if you call. Kinda of a pain. Hopefully they post publicly soon.

can you post what you found out here for first week or two of december? I think most of us are gone by the 10th or 11th or so

yeah this has never been my favorite park. AK either. But there are a few things I like to do in both. So doing AK first and HS second to kind of get them out of the way. After that it's all epcot and mk, my two favorites (plus some resort time). I'm hoping one full day at AK will be sufficient and we can take off the day of the christmas party and just hang at the resort (also hoping for nice pool weather at least in the afternoon!). We are from the northeast so if it's at least in the 70's we're good lol
