***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

So you can get the Disney Jr Lunch with f! ? That's great! I'd like the holiday dine. But I will gladly look for lunch for you!! What time is lunch ending and dinner starting?!!? So confusing to have to know to book as soon as something pops up ! :(

It's so weird. Over the phone they said yes. The F! page is silent on the lunch (doesn't say it's not included), but only references the dinner option and not the disney junior lunch. When you search the web some of the touring sites say it is not available for lunch. I don't know, I'm going to try. Lunch is between 11 and 1:55. I'm putting in 12:30 for 12/6 in my search which looks between 11-2.

Ok... This is really insane here... But I know there are a few of us looking for h&v! For various days/ times...
If you've been reading these posts for a few days you probably know me for the thousand annoying ( borderline harassing ) questions about booking one of these things! But I've got one more question :).... Right now, if I'm looking in the right place... On 12/4 for 6 people for a fantasmic dinner... I see the only option coming up is s 2:10 brown derby dinner package. If anyone has a Minute or happens to have the page open, can anyone confirm this?! It's been the only thing available for a few days, and I just want to make sure I'm checking the right page....

I've been using this page:

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/fantasmic-dining-package/

And then selecting my date and the restaurant as Hollywood & Vine

If you go on this page you referenced and select Hollywood and Vine, then the date, you will see the times included in the F! package. It starts at 11:00 (when lunch starts, and breakfast is not a F! option so that's why it starts at 11:00). Dinner starts at 3:00. The F! H&V Dinner options end at 5:00 (so there's time to get to F!). If you were to go to Hollywood and Vine and select an ADR that way, you would see earlier times for breakfast and later dinner times because there's no cut-off for F!. Simply put, if you're searching under the fantasmic package, ANY times that show up as an option are going to include F! :)

when you use that page it definitely brings up lunch times. have you checked for availability? I just checked a random day at lunch and there was tons.
Really?!? For H&V!
I've got to be doing this wrong. I'll just keep checking throughout the day. I'm really looking for the Minnie package on 12/4 preferably. But I'll search for s few days

Ok!!!! Makes sense now!!! And 11-255 is Disney Jr. And 3-5 is holiday Minnie?!

I think it is 11 to 1:55 for lunch. There appears to be a gap between lunch and dinner? (last lunch option is 1:30, but sounds like you can make ADRs as late as 1:55). :-) And yep, Holiday dine 3-5! :thumbsup2
Thanks @Talby :) I can't find a little Smily guy pulling his hair out , but if I could I would :)... I think I got it!!!!

@SilSprBea we bring those flavor packets (Crystal Light, Gatorade, Mio) to add to the fountain water. Those are easy enough to pack and helps the water taste less gross. LOL

yes, if you are holding lunch as a backup might as well hold lunch with package as a backup while you look for dinner. if dinner is available at all it should be available as package too.

I went ahead and opted for the EMM on 12/4. The $209 was a tough pill to swallow, but ended up canceling our Akershus reservation to offset most of the cost.
My thought process was the following:
  • Free breakfast probably about $40 value for 2 adults 1 kid
  • Based off our weekend this Summer at Cedar Point, know DD4 will love SDMT. If we didn't do this probably would only be able to ride once via FP+
  • Being in the park early will let us get a good start without battling rope drop crowd. Can hit Cinderella, Ariel, Rapunzel right at 9AM now to make up for missing Akershus

Happy to help where I can. :-) So much I don't know/am learning, but I think I have the H&V F! stuff down finally--through MUCH trial and errror!! lol

 Eek!

 Confused!

:faint: Faint!

These are appropriate for me on a regular basis. But we definitely need a smiley pulling his hair out. And a head spinning guy too!

:badpc: I like this guy for all the plan changes/starting over/swapping days/ADR juggling. @Maryemcd (I think!) used it once and I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. It's just so fitting! lol

here is the exact phrasing:
Over the summer, Disney’s Hollywood Studios premiered the new Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular nighttime show, and while reviews have generally been positive, many guests have complained throughout the summer that the show is really hard to see from anywhere other than right in front of the Great Movie Ride, and relies too much on projections rather than pyrotechnics.

However, no matter what your feelings are on the quality of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, it looks like Disney may be considering temporarily pulling this show for the fall season (and possibly beyond). According to the official park calendar, the final day that this show is scheduled to be performed will be October 1, 2016. And while it is possible that Disney might just need to update their calendar for the fall, the corresponding dessert party that goes along with this nightly experience is also not available for reservations beyond October 1st, lending credence to the idea that this show is indeed going to be going away for a little while while Disney either switches to a seasonal schedule or pulls it completely for a few weeks or months.

While it may be easy to jump to conclusions here and assume that this show has been completely cancelled, Disney has spent a significant amount of money not only in developing this show, but installing support infrastructure around the park for it as well, which is why we can’t imagine that Disney would cancel Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular outright. However, a little break at least until the holidays or at least a switch to a seasonal schedule would make some sense, especially since we know that budget cuts are on the way. Perhaps this show will return this winter with new footage from Star Wars: Rogue One?

To me this guy is making a pure guess based on no information other than the fact that it has not been extended past October 1. If he had been watching the way people on the DIS have he would know that this has been the pattern for the better part of the year. To me this is nothing more than a WAG based on incomplete information and a misread of the information he has.

reliance on projections rather than pyrotechnics is probably a choice disney made CONSCIOUSLY and something they consider a benefit. the projections are a sunk cost at this point, pyrotechnics are a continuing cost. The show is less expensive to run on a daily basis with less pyro and if they are looking to cut the budget, wasting all of the money they put into developing the show by running it for 3 months is ridiculous. This was not a last minute fill in like the Jungle Book thing. It was planned and while some long time disney people may not care for the format of it, it generally gets great feedback from guests.

and why would they add new footage in this winter? The movie isn't even premiering until december 16th. They are not going to spend a fortune revamping a brand new show based on the latest movie that isn't even hitting theaters until 2 months later. That just sounds plain old ridiculous to me. IMO this is a rumor of his own making.

Couldn't agree more, @Lisa F ! They can't do as many fireworks as before because the launch site is now too close to Animal Kingdom. This is just more click-bait, fear-mongering, irresponsible Disney blogging. It would be different if he had some sort of insider telling him these things, but he's basing it solely on a park calendar that has been updating late ALL YEAR LONG! Doesn't everyone know that by now?!

you would think that even if EVERYONE didn't know it at least an "expert" Disney blogger would!

:rotfl:literally ROLFLOL

Thank you. Love him and the movie as well! Wish he had a better ride. At least he has a great breakfast! lol

I know about the ride, but still enjoy it. A lot of talk about the ride being turned into another attraction. But they just can't leave stich out!

Glad to hear about the breakfast. Of all the visits, we're never been to the Ohana breakfast. However, DS and I are going for the first time in December. I heard a lot of good reviews. DS is really looking forward to meeting Stitch.
