1st week of August Waitlisted

I have a ressie at OKW but am waitlisted at VWL & BWV. What are the chances I will get either of those resorts that week? I would rather BWV but have never stayed at VWL so I look forward to something new.

Anyone have a clue?

Keep calling if you have the time, I called on 3 occasions for DD ressie for 8/7 - 8/14 (trying to see what was available, if we could even find a ressie, and then deciding) She decided to stay at OKW since OKW and SSR were the only 2 resorts that had all 7 nights available, when I called to book the ressie MS said they had 1 preferred view studio BWV available for all 7 nights, it was not there the day before. (some of the days were but not all 7). We grabbed it!

My Waitlist came through!!! We are now staying at VWL, so excited!!!!! They actually told me it was a good chance I would get a standard view at BWV if I waitlisted for it but I think I'm happy at VWL, we've never stayed there before.

Plenty of links abound that discuss VWL, so I won't go into any detail other than to wish you congratulations and that you will almost certainly enjoy your stay there. It's a peaceful, lovely, and endearing property.

What are your dates for WLV? Just curious - I called this morning and they only had two nights out of the 5 nights I wanted/am waitlisted. I just want to try a new resort also.

OT - I had booked 3 nights at Vero and 5 nights at WLVs when our 7 month window opened up. I then cancelled it about two months later since we received devastating news with my sister. She is hanging in there and I tried to rebook same resorts with no success of course (my brother also a dvc member did not cancel his and still has his reservation). I am now booked for Kidani but waitlisted for Vero and WLVs again. I call two/three times of week - but no luck yet.

I guess I called at the right time-we got a studio for August 3-7. Not the entire week but we are happy anyway!

Thank you. We have 8/4- 12 at AKV - but we are waitlisted for our original reservation of 8/4-7 - Vero and 8/7 - 12 at WLVs.

You will like the resort. We tried out both BWV and VWL last summer on our first DVC trip (along with BLT!!!).

BLT remains my favorite but my children really liked VWL. It was peaceful and relaxing. And the boat ride to/from MK was really nice and easy.

We had a rental car (always do) so I can't tell you much about the bus system, other than we took it back from Epcot on the day we took back the car to the Dolphin and I have to say, it was a very easy trip. We only waited at the bus stop for about 8 minutes.

Have a great trip. We will be at WDW from July 30th to August 5th with 3 nights at BCV and 3 nights over at BLT.

VWL is wonderful, so tranquil. We are there for 7 nights, can't wait. x
