1st VGC customers at Doorway to Dreams

We were the first customers to buy VGC from Doorway to Dreams yesterday, on the 1st day of their sales!

We now own 125 points of VGC - and the contract actually appeared in the DVC member site the same day. We also got the free 4-night DCL cruise promo offer (before it expires on March 31st, 2009). What a deal! Those cruises cost a LOT of points to book. This is so much better than restrictive developer points.

The same 4-night cruise for the two of us (in our preferred seasons of 2010) would cost us 246 points. We only bought 125 VGC points. We've received developer points before, but never at a ratio of 2:1 of developer vs. purchased.

Just curious, if you buy from DToD you get 4day cruise for 125pts instead of the required 160pts?

The number of points required to purchase for the 4 night cruise for current members is different than for new members.

The free DCL cruise promo ends March 31st. It was to have ended March 28th, but it has been extended until the end of March this year.

For some reason I thought the 4day is for 160points+ only... who knew where I got that from...

Yep! We did!
Couldn't be more pleased! And we got a $200 GC and an RCI week because we bought at the Doorway to Dreams event in February.
