1st trip with baby over Feb break-Swan or Mod??

We cannot afford a deluxe for this trip. My daughter will be around 18 months old. We likely will be skipping DAK this trip, so will just be doing Epcot, DHS, & MK. We are planning to do our trip after this at AKL, so she will have plenty of DAK time then!

My gut is telling me to choose the Swan or Dolphin, because we will not have to rely on buses for Epcot or DHS, so heading back for naps will be alot easier. Plus, Feb vacation is going to be super busy, I'm guessing.

I guess I just need a second opinion-?? The Disney obsessed side of me is thinking my daughter's first trip should be at a WDW resort, but the Swan/Dolphin seems more practical.

I say go with your gut. Since she is only 18 months old she won't have memories of where you stayed. Like you said she will have plenty of AK time and Disney time in the future.

I see you were married at the Swan. Can't think of a better place to bring your daughter for her first visit...returning to the Swan where the magic all began for you. Have a wonderful time!

OP, I agree with your train of thought. The S/D would be the better choice.

I can't remember a single thing from the trips I made as a baby. Not one. The trips parents take with their babies are always for the parents so just do what you want. Honestly, my parents could have stayed in the Most expensive exclusive suite on property and left me in a box in the hall and I wouldn't have remembered it.
