Day 3
Well we awoke to a first... everbody got up with out anybody feeling sick - Yippee!! Only problem was I had done something to my ankle and putting on my trainers was agony
But nothing was going to spoil our enjoyment of the day.
We set off and headed straight into the studios for the 1st time, after leaving our extra warm clothes at the left luggage. Today ws still cold and rather overcast, so there was not even the sun to help warm us up a little.
Our first port of call was crushes coaster, but the queue was at an hour so we decided to try again later. DN went on magic carpets while with her mum and dad, while me and DH were official photographers!!!
We then got our photos with a couple of charachters from ratatouii. We headed across for the studio tour, marvelling at the TOT, but very sad as we could not ride it yet, much to DN's relief. (she went on the ride when she was 4 3/4 years old and has never been the same since!!!
) However when asked DN did say that she wanted to go on the ride, but we don't know whether that was because she knew it was closed or not.
The queue for the tram tour was very short. DB was sat on the railings, while we waited, until the little girl in front of us in the line struck!! Unbeknown to DB he was actually sat on a gate in the railings. One minute we stood talking, the next DB was laid flat on his back in the flowers!!! The look on his face was priceless
As we picked him up in between our laughter and asked, what happened there, the little girl who we had not really noticed piped up, "it was me!!" She had undone the bolt on the gate casing it to swing open. We all thought it was hillarious, but her mum didn't know where to put her face. She couldn't apologise enough. If you are reading this, thanks, you gave us a great giggle.
After the tram tour we watched the parade, which we really enjoyed. we then headed over to R&RC, where to our amazement the queue was only 10 mins. DB and DSiL headed onto it first while we took DN to the shops. One of my best parts of Disney. They really enjoyed it and then me and DH went for a ride. The queue was so short we did not even get chance to watch the pre show. the ride was really excellent, though we could not decide whether we prefered this or space mountain the best.
After a bite to eat we checked out the queue for crush which had grown even more, so decided we would come back later nearer to closing time. We went back over to disneyland, heading straight over to BTM, which only had a small queue. This is definately my fav ride.
We did PM and PoC again, before heading back into fantasyland. DN spotted Jasmine and Aladin walking by, so DB and DN set off chasing them all over the park for a photo. They managed to get them to stop, but wouldn't do a photo much to DNs disapointment
They just disapeared into a CM only area. DN made up for her disapointment by riding dumbo before we went over to DBs fav ride.. Buzz. This is only because he always get the highest score!!! However he wasn't laughing when he left the bag in his carriage and he had to wait for it to come all the way back around again. (If you are wondering how he managed to leave it, he was so excited at having done a ride through whilst still managing to get the highest score. Anybody that saw the 6ft guy with a camcorder strapped to his shoulder with a cream scalf, then that was him. We just told everybody we didn't know him!! )
After watching HIStA, which is funny, but one small bit doesn't quite have the same effect when you have jeans on as appose to shorts, we headed back to watch the lighting of the castle, which was beautiful. But i could not manage to get a photo that did it justice, even resting it on DNs head for a slow exposure did not seem to work.
It was time for our fastpass for BTM, the first time we would be riding in the dark. It certainly was great and gave a whole different perspective to the ride.
After this ride it was nearly 9pm and park closing time. We realised we had neither been back to the studios to try for crush or had any tea!! Now if you knew DH you would realise what an unusual occurance this is. He is worse than a baby needing feeding every 2 hours on demand!!
We picked up some very nice panni sandwiches and hotdogs from a caravan at the entrance to Disney village which we really enjoyed and headed off back to hotel feeling very happy
that we had managed to spend the full day out with nobody being
but very sad as tomorow was our last day
