1st Trip (of many!) as Mr. & Mrs.--the TR-- UPDATE 9/9: Life Update--We're Moving!!

Fun updates! I loved the Lights, Motor Action Show too! We've only seen it once, but it is a great show. You're just in awe when you see it for the first time. I loved all of the pics from One Man's Dream. We didn't get a chance to really spend a lot of time in there last time, so I think that's going on our list for the next trip. Especially as you suggested earlier, perfect if the little munchkin is napping in her stroller, we can enjoy it at a nice pace. Loved your pics of the rope drop at MK too! I can't wait to see that one day. Sci Fi Diner always looks like a fun place to eat. We were sad to not to be able to eat there last time, but I always feel like there is so much to do and so many places to eat at in Disney that you can't fit it all in! That's just one more reason to go back, right?;)

You would LOVE One Man's Dream!! But make sure you go at a time when Landon is sleeping... ;) Haha! :rotfl: Good idea! I still haven't showed you that picture...we were pretty sneaky looking! Add me on FB and you can see it! :thumbsup2 That is too funny about you and Stephanie! I'm sure everyone got a kick out of it--but yall probably had the most fun!! I'll have to remember to whisper "STEALTH MODE!" next time we try to sneak back into One Man's Dream! I'm SURE Landon would love LMA! He's so into cars--and he'd really be ready for it by next year! If I could pick two for you to go to, it'd be LMA and Beauty. Those are the best (in our opinion)--at least at DHS. Yeah, it's a little hotter if you sit closer, but it's not that big of a difference. You can get better pictures closer up, though (more on that later ;) ) Woo-Hoo!! Another Disney Twin thing! :woohoo: That shake was really yummy--but it was almost too sweet. I should have stuck with chocolate. So true! I forgot you took pics at ESPN! We were SOOO impressed with the theming everywhere! Isn't the pool FANTASTIC?! We just loved it! We didn't get a chance to try out the slide, but the pool and hot tub were great! :thumbsup2 No, I didn't take my camera to the pool (at least I don't think I did...) because I didn't want it to get wet. I just took my phone and our room key. We were the only ones in the hot tub, and there were only about 20 people in the pool! I should have more before too long!

I will add you!! "STEALTH MODE!" is just fun to stay, I don't care who you are! :rotfl: Okay, so next time I will not leave DHS without seeing B&tB and LMA! Hmmm...that means I may have to get off ToT, TSM and RnRC. Okay, maybe I'll need two days there! :rotfl2: I LOVE DHS!! (And more than just those 3 rides, but they are seriously the best and I'm going through MAJOR withdrawal!)

Oh and it wasn't just ESPN that I took bathroom pictures...if you remember from the very first day, I took one in MK because it was labeled "Princess". I love the theming!! I wish life in general was more well-themed. Themes are fun!

I understand not taking your camera to the pool! The only reason I have pool pictures is because I ripped my dad away from the tv to come take pics of us since he wouldn't swim! It worked out!! :goodvibes

Can't wait for more!! Its SUCH a teaser when you start and finish before you even get into the park! Now the anticipation is killing me while I wait for some MK!!

Yay, glad you got to see the rope drop show! And what are the chances you would run into the Soarin' family? So cool!

Waking up to "A Whole New World"... I love it! :thumbsup2

The couple from the UK sounds like a trip & so much fun to talk to! Did yall ever end up getting those pins so you could get free drinks and bully?! :rotfl: That's too funny!

Don't you just looooove the MK rope drop show? It makes me tear up watching it. You got some awesome pictures, too!

It was so fun waking up to those great Disney songs!! :goodvibes Oh goodness, they were great! No, we didn't want to look like dumb a**es! :rotfl: I do!!! It was so great! I tear up just watching our video of it. The whole time I watch any of our video, my heart feels like it's going to burst...I know it sounds silly, but it does! :upsidedow Thank you! It helped that it was a gorgeous day!

Thanks for the tip!! Chris will definitely be thrilled. Be prepared for lots of LMA pictures in my TR  Even though we're not going to Sci-Fi again this time, I think they have the shakes at 50s PTC where we are eating so I'll have to get one there! :thumbsup2 I think Michael and Chris would get along too. They could go in OMD together and spend hours LOL Chris literally was taking longer to walk through it then I was and he begged me to see the movie at the end when I was ready to leave and do something else! I agree with you, we did pick a few things last time that we wont do again til we have kids. It's a Small World is one of them since Chris refuses to go on that haha We'll definitely head over to Jambo house for the night vision goggles for the savannah. That sounds amazing! And I'm really looking forward to a nice hot jaccuzzi. I'm so glad I found your TR at the perfect time :goodvibes

Another great update! We would do the same thing in the morning, have Chris run down to get our breakfast while I finished getting ready (mostly because I take forever to get ready LOL). Wasn't the MK rope drop great?! I'm not going to lie, I definitely teared up a little while watching it! I'm a dork LOL

Woo-Hoo! Can't wait to read your TR! That's so funny that Chris wanted to stay longer than you did! Did you end up watching the video? We didn't see it this day, but this *might* not be the last time we went in there--haha! Michael would be with Chris on IASW...but I love it! It's one of my first memories ever--I went on it about a million times when I was 2. I'm glad I've been able to help!! Bring your suit the same day you do the night vision thing (it only takes a few minutes--however long you want to look through them) and the jacuzzi is right next to it! Haha--I think it helps for the guys to go downstairs--then they're not being impatient for us to get ready! :rotfl: I teared up too! I had the biggest knot in my throat. I just LOVE it!

I love the Magic Kingdom so much. I can't wait to hear all about your day there.
And I love talking to people from other places. It's so much fun to hear about their life in like a different country.

The MK is great! I'll hopefully have another post in the next few days. I do too! It's so neat to be able to hear about other people's cultures. :)

Hi there! I'm new to this thread - I've been around DIS for a while though. We live in France and have APs for DLP and love it but we'll be moving back to the States in a little over a year and now I have the bug for Disney WORLD! I am thoroughly enjoying your wonderful review! And for the first time in my life, I'm thinking it would be fun to go just me and DH! We've taken our little girls (3/5) so many millions of times but have never gone on our own! :)

We've also been to Disneyland in California with our kids once (we lived in AZ and drove out there). We had a phenomenal time there as well.

I went to Disney World when I was a kid at ages 5 and 10 but they are dim memories...

Anyway, thanks for the super review. Just wanted to reply so I could subscribe and read subsequent posts!

Blessings to you and your "new" husband!! Oh, and btw, your organization skills... be still my organized heart. :)

angie

Hi Angie! Thank you so much for reading! :goodvibes Oh, wow. I'm sure it's just gorgeous in France! I have an uncle who lives there, and we keep saying we need to go out and visit him there--I've never been. Was our UK friends' view of DLP correct? :upsidedow You and your DH would absolutely LOVE going the two of you!! :lovestruc It's so great. You're able to just go and do whatever you feel like at whatever pace you feel like. And I'm sure your whole family will love going to WDW! We just loved it! I've always wanted to visit DL as well. Thank you so much--it's been a great (almost) first year of marriage! Hehe! Thanks! Organizing is honestly one of my favorite things!

Aww...I really want to see the rope drop show! What time did you get there for it?

Thanks! Isn't it so cool how they do all of those awesome car stunts?! We really liked it! :thumbsup2 Yay! I think you'll love spending more time in One Man's Dream--it's just like you're peaking into Walt's world. You'll have to dart in there as soon as the little one goes to sleep! ;) The MK rope drop show is so, so cute! They definitely go all-out with it! But beware--you might have the songs in your head all day! I know what you mean. There are WAY too many great restaurants and attractions and everything. You just can't do it all in one trip--but more trips are always welcome! :thumbsup2

Yay! We're FB friends now! :thumbsup2 So true! We might just have to break out and yell "Stealth Mode!" at random times. The sad thing is no one would probably think anything of it--we're SO random a lot of the time! You better not--those are the two greatest shows at DHS!!! We just love them!!! And since you can't give up any rides on your top 3, you'll just have to spend another day there! ;) I know--I'm going through withdrawal too! Oh yeah, I forgot about that! There's just sooo much to take pictures of at Disney World--Including the bathrooms! Ah, I see. Yeah, since it was just us, we didn't take it. I would have DIED if it got wet and we lost all of our pictures! :scared1: Sorry! I was hoping to write more, but I was going out of town on Thursday and I ran out of time to finish. I'll have more in the next few days! ;)

Yay, glad you got to see the rope drop show! And what are the chances you would run into the Soarin' family? So cool!

I'm so glad we did too!! It was SO great. I love how they put so much into it!! I know--we were so glad we ran into them again! They were the sweetest family. :goodvibes

Aww...I really want to see the rope drop show! What time did you get there for it?

It's SOOO good! You will love it! Have you seen it before? You really need to try to make it... :thumbsup2 We got on our bus at 7:55 and pulled into MK between 8:10 and 8:15. We could do with getting there a little later next time--it was practically empty when we arrived. But at the same time, it was good b/c we had time to just sit and relax while we waited. :)

LOVE the update. What a GREAT tip to eat breakfast while waiting for the rope drop!! I just finalized our plans lastnight, and eating breakfast in the room or at the Resort C.S. was taking up too much time. I love that idea...thank you:love:

You are meeting so many interesting characters on this trip :rotfl: Love the UK couple, so cute!

The rope drop looks amazing. We did not get to make it last time, so I am sooooo excited to see it!! One of Abby's favorite muscial song is "Good Morning". Great to hear that they sing it...she will be so pumped

I can not wait to read about your morning at MK!! We were at WDW in October and the fall decorations are just to die for, aren't they? We just paid off our trip in full yesterday....so it is OFFICIAL!! Your TR is helping me get even more excited for our trip :lovestruc

I haven't seen it before..actually I've never been to any of the rope drops before either! :lmao:

We are definately planning on doing it..wait..what do they do when it's morning EMH's at the MK? That's the day we're planning on being there early.

I'm glad I could help! We ended up eating at the bus station or at the park pretty much every morning (well...I did. Michael ate downstairs or in the room most mornings). It worked well for us since we were just eating finger foods anyway! And that way we could get there earlier. ;) The UK couple was adorable! We loved meeting them. Your family will LOVE the MK rope drop! It's fantastic! What musical is "Good Morning" from? One of my friends used to sing it all the time, but I've never known what it's from... Yes--the fall decorations are so adorable! They just add so much to everything without being "too much". WOO-HOO!!! :dance3: Congratulations! That's so, so exciting! You're all ready to go! :goodvibes

Really?! You really need to try to make it--you and your Dbf will love it! :thumbsup2 Oh goodness...I don't know. We stayed away from all of the EMHs, so I really couldn't tell you. And the years when we did use the EMHs, we never made it to rope drop. Go figure! :upsidedow Let me know if you find out!

I'm so glad you're excited for my TR! We did end up watching the movie but, I'm embarrassed to say, I fell asleep!! LOL Chris watched it and loved it though! That's so cute that you can remember your first times on IASW! Maybe I'll be able to get Chris on there this time but I doubt it LOL That's a good idea to bring down my bathing suit to the night vision thing. Since I take forever to get ready, it would definitely have Chris less impatient with me :rotfl2:

Rope Drop looks AMAZING! I have never been to one either, so I'm looking forward to it as well, even if it isn't at MK. I love the fall decorations too. When we went on our honeymoon that was the first time I'd ever seen the MK decorated for anything!

I'm so excited to read about your MK day! That is just really DISNEY for me!!

I've never been to an MK rope drop. It's something we have to do on our next trip. It looks like so much fun!

You would have LOVED our cruise tablemates Karen and Gary. They're from the UK!

Awww I just love MK Rope Drop...I have the song in my head right now..."Good Morning, Good Morning...." Love it!!!!

I love meeting new and friendly people too, especially at Disney...so much fun to share your love of a place with others around you!!!

Can't wait to read more about your MK day!!

Oh, no! I'm sure Chris was very disappointed in you! We really enjoyed it when we saw it! Good luck trying to drag him on IASW! Michael said he's not riding it again until we have kids--but I'll just have to go on without him! Do they have night vision at Kidani Village? I really, really like the Kidani look-out! :thumbsup2

It's SO great! We just love being there for them. And there's no lines after the park opens!!! :thumbsup2 I've been twice with no decorations, and twice in the fall. I love it both ways. I would LOVE to go for Christmas next time! Yeah, I know the MK is Disney for most people...but it's actually probably my 3rd favorite park. But I love them all SOOO much, so it's hard to even really compare. :goodvibes

You would have LOVED our cruise tablemates Karen and Gary. They're from the UK!

It's SO great, Jenny! You and Joe would love it. It's by far the best! They put so much into it. AH! YES--I'm sure we would have loved them!! :)

I love meeting new and friendly people too, especially at Disney...so much fun to share your love of a place with others around you!!!

Can't wait to read more about your MK day!!

Isn't it so great?! :goodvibes It's just the epitome of Disney! And it makes you feel so happy... It's funny, but meeting great new people were some of our favorite memories. I wish people were as happy in real life as they are at Disney. :) I'll hopefully have more today!

I know I'm coming in late...but I caught myself up! I LOOOOVE reading your TR, can't wait for more!

"Good Mornin" is from "Singin' in the Rain". It is one of my all time favorite movies and that is one of my favorite scenes!!! I sing it to Madison all the time when I wake her up.

Thanks! I've actually seen "Singin' in the Rain" once, but I didn't remember that song being in it. I'll have to re-watch it! Aw--that's so great! :thumbsup2

Before I start this update, I want to tell you that we still constantly talk about Disney World. We were sitting in church on Sunday and the pastor was going through all of these things for us to think about (like 3 things you’re thankful for your family for, the last really good meal you ate, etc.), he said “the three best memories you have with your spouse from this past year” and both of us leaned over and whispered “Disney” at the same time. That’s why I love Disney World. :goodvibes It’s a place where lifelong memories can be made. And I’m so thankful that I was able to experience it with my wonderful husband.

Anyway, on to the Trip Report! Let me first apologize for the Magic Kingdom teaser. I know it’s mean to conclude right before we got into the park, but I have a good excuse! I was going out of town, and I didn’t have time to write any more than that. So I knew it was either write a short teaser, or not write at all. I chose the former. ;) That being said, when I last left you, we had just finished watching the most incredible Rope Drop show at Disney World—Magic Kingdom!! Now we were on our way into the park!

It was an absolutely gorgeous morning, and we enjoyed walking down Main Street and taking in the great decorations.

This CM was so sweet! I don’t know what it is, but I have such a soft spot for older people. This man was so great—you could tell he absolutely loved his job! Michael and I have decided we want to retire and work at Disney World!

028MKMainSt.jpg

Since I’d never been to a MK rope drop before, I didn’t know that there was the show and then each section of the park had a different “rope drop”. This turned out great, because we realized we had lots of time before the rope actually dropped. So what did we do? Take Photopass Pics, of course!

We loved being able to just walk towards the Castle and have so many great PPPic opportunities! And by this time, we’d pretty much decided to buy the CD, so we really took advantage of it.

When we saw it was getting closer to time to open the park, we headed towards the Tomorrowland rope. There really weren’t many people at all waiting for this one since Space Mountain was down. But we had an appointment to help Buzz defeat the Evil Emperor Zurg!

When the Tomorrowland rope dropped, we got two FPs for Buzz for later, and then headed into an empty queue area.

032MKBuzz.jpg

Even though it was a walk-through, we took some time to take some pics of the star of the ride:

033MKBuzz.jpg

034MKBuzz.jpg

We were ready! :woohoo:

035MKBuzz.jpg

Even though I was ahead for a while, Michael came back and more than doubled my score!

036MKBuzz.jpg

037MKBuzz.jpg

Oh—and did you see his score? 234567. How fun is that?!

I’m regretting not getting our ride photo, but those things are just so expensive! I really like it, though!

We exited Tomorrowland,

And headed towards Fantasyland via the Tea Party. Even though we can’t ride this (we just DON’T do spinning stuff), I love the look of it!

040MK.jpg

For our second ride of the day, we walked right on to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh!

SUCH a cute ride! We both loved it—especially the bouncing part. Again, we loved all of the detail.

We exited Pooh to a CRAM PACKED Fantasyland. Where did all these people come from?!

053MKFantasy.jpg

Just kidding! It was practically empty! :rotfl:

I just love the little shops in Fantasyland.

Next up: Peter Pan’s Flight!

There was a 0 wait time for this one too, and we loved it as well! I tried to take pictures, but since we couldn’t use our flashes, they didn’t turn out. I think my favorite scene is flying over London. SO pretty!

I thought this was a unique view of the castle:
