Had to post to say what a fantastic time me, my wife & 2 yr old daughter had on our first visit to DLP (19/9 - 23/9). We got married 16/9 and had booked standard accomodation at Sequioa Lodge for our honeymoon. A couple of weeks ago I thought I'd chance my arm at some freebies so emailed SL to say that it was our honeymoon & anything they could do to make the trip more memorable would be great. I expected a complimentary drink or something of that ilk.
The day prior to our departure I read that, at this time of year, you should always ask for an upgraded room on arrival as you have more chance of getting it. On checking in at SL i asked for said upgrade but they said they couldn't do that.....................because we were already in the Honeymoon Suite. What a fantastic gesture - I have to say that I was almost in tears!!
I can't honestly praise the staff at DLP highly enough for making us feel so welcome, and it definitely was a honeymoon to remember, not least because I think my arms have stretched 3" in length as Millie would not go in her pushchair & demanded on being carried from pillar to post. Twas well worth the sacrifice.
Does anyone have a contact email address for the General Manager of SL as I really would like to contact him/her directly to thank them?
