I'm a pro at Disneyland in CA, but will be going to WDW this Saturday for a wk with husband, 13 and 9 yr old kids and am THRILLED to pieces!!! However, I'm watching the weather and it looks like rain (boo!) obviously, the weather changes everyday, and it's gonna be apparent we will get some rain. That's ok- I've got the ponchos and crocs all packed- but my question is about planning. Should I try to move my days around to put water parks near the first park of the week (weather looks to be a bit better) or just leave it as I have it because the weather may change anyway? Problem comes in moving all my dining reservations. Also, is that really needed? If I cancel some reservations and play it by ear, will we be waiting in long lines to eat at the big restaurants? Also- are the cabana rentals worth it at the water parks, or will we be able to find chairs. Since we are on CA time, getting to parks at opening will be difficult. (Did I mention I have a teenager?) thanks so much for any help/advice!!! :-)))

I would leave your plans as is! The weather in FL is crazy.... Seriously raining one minute and sunny blue skies the next.

Don't cancel dining reservations. If they are at popular places you most likely won't get a table at all without a reservation.

I never rented a cabana at the water parks. They have a LOT of lounge chairs scattered throughout the park and you can rent a locker for your valuables :)

Greetings from another hard core Disneylander! Agree with the other posters 100% - rainstorms in Central Florida can come and go very quickly. Bring ponchos with you so you don't get drenched, but don't run away! Chances are the rain will stop soon.

Enjoy your trip - we're heading to the World in June so leave it in one piece for us, please!

We actually would prefer to be rained on at the water park than the parks ourselves. You can still swim unless it's lightning, your wet anyways, it clears out the water park of people, and the weather will change in an hour :-)

Oh wow- I didn't realize they'd keep it all open in the rain! I figure lightning is so common out there it would all shut down for that fear. Great to know this! Thank you so much for the reply!!!
