for those who have gone already I would love to here from you about the
"must do" foods and drinks that shouldn't be missed at all at this years food and wine :thumbsup2 . We will be going oct 25 to 28
and are very excited!!!

Pace yourself, and plan to share each plate versus getting one of your own. The only way to do it is to hit every single booth and try as much as you can in your time there. We usually decide the day-of if we are starting with wine or beer - and red or white - and work around that way. There are so many choices and you will want to try them all!

The thread on F&W that is not a sticky, around pg 60 a very kind dis'er has made "cards" - for each both - so I went to each of the links, hit copy, and put them into a word document, they are the size of a page, so I shrunk them in word, 2 to a page, or 4 to a page (not sure which ones I'll use) then I"m going to cut them out, or print them on index cards - so I'm pre primed for the booths!!

My first F&W the info on the boards was not to miss the Canada booth, try the Ice Wine (its extremely expensive, $5 but the grapes stay on the vine till after the frost, so the sugars are concentrated, you get less juice from the grape, but its sweeter - so the bottle is tiny $35 - $60 for a small bottle at our liquor store - that is why I wanted to taste it first!! Its not syrupy sweet, but definately sweet!!)

The other wine I wanted to try was Rosa Regale in Italy - its a champagne, but again, its fruity, red, berry not sweet, not dry... just right!!

As far as the foods go, I'm looking forward to trying the cheeses!!

Have fun!!

There is a nice review with pictures in the Review section, may help you out too.

Chilaquiles!

The cheese booth is the deal of the festival - but for it to be a deal, order all three cheeses.

If you like a particular cheese, they can do three of that type of cheese if you ask.
