1st time to beach in 20years

So my brother weighs about 140 and is wheel chair bond. We want to spend the day together as a group of 9. So when the kids are playing down at the beach and ocean we would like to have him down at the beach too. Do they rent special sand wheelchairs at cocoa beach. My mom said that she rented one 20 years ago and said it worked ok. May have been a different beach though. We are open to going to a different beach if it is more handicapped accessible. Since it's been 20years we would appreciate any beach tips.

Jetty Park in Port Canaveral is next to Cocoa Beach and is a really nice park (even has a wheel-chair accessable jetty). You can see big ships (including cruise ships) going in and out. They used to and may still have free beach wheelchairs for use. You might want to contact them. They are a Brevard County park.

Scooters 'n Spokes might have beach wheelchair rentals - 321-613-5647.

Also, try Ron Jon's Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach. They might have rentals. They have about everything else...who knows?
