Thank you so much for sharing your trip. Congratulations on your engagement!

We are also going to POP for a week and then on a 4 night on the Dream. Looking forward!

Glad to see that the Palo Brunch is being offered during Nassau which I hope is offered when we go.
Thanks!

WOW, just WOW ... your TR is Epic! ... my husband and I have never been on a cruise and are looking into DCL ... I have so many questions but wont bother you with them here... I will however say thanks for this wonderful read.

Congrats on your engagement!! I LOVED your trip report! I loved all your unique pictures too! I'm going to show them to my dh. I think it will push him over the edge to buy a GoPro for our upcoming Dream cruise on May 18th. What kind of GoPro do you have any suggestions on accessories? We are taking our dd, dsil, and dgs5 and are over the top excited!

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read my TR! Glad you enjoyed it!

As for GoPro accessories, I would recommend the goPro 3-way (sounds nasty but it totally isn't haha). It's a selfie stick, tripod, and stand all in one.

If you want to take the GoPro in the Aqua duck, I would recommend the chest mount. It clips on like a vest.

If you take the GoPro out for snorkeling, I would recommend the floaty or something that can attach to the wrist. We brought the GoPro and GoPro 3way out in the lagoon but clung on for dear life to not lose/drop it.

Have a great trip! You'll have a blast!

Thank You So Much for the tips! I showed my dh your pictures and it did the trick! We are getting one! He also commented on your creative poses :)

We are getting all of the accessories you suggested and also a junior chest mount for our 5 yo. We thought it would be fun to see the vacation from his point of view :)

Did you use a remote to take some of the pictures or did you use an app on your phone?

Were all of your pictures from your GoPro or did you use other cameras? We are debating on whether we need to take an additional camera or not.

Thanks for your help! We leave for WDW on Wednesday!

No Problem! & Yes, we used our phones to take the pics. Some photos were from the GoPro and some on the phone when we were too lazy to set up the bluetooth and all that. I would love to see how creative you get with your GoPro :) Have a great trip!

Thank you so much for your trip report! We are taking the same cruise itinerary this coming year in 2016 at the same exact time of year! It was great to see all of your photos and our family is really looking forward to the trip...well those of us that know about it. The kids won't know until Christmas!

What an amazing trip report! Thank you for sharing it with all of us.

1st - CONGRATS on the engagement. How exciting!
2nd - We are sailing on the Fantasy in three weeks, you can bet i'll be putting your tips to good use since this is our first DCL cruise! :thanks:

I just read your trip report! Thank you for sharing and congratulations!

Day 7 - Part 1: A lazy day at sea

February 5, 2015

One of my bucket lists for the cruise was to catch the sunrise at sea. So we woke up bright and early at 6:10am by room service (I completely forgot about that little door hanger thing I left the night before.)

I poured myself a cup of tea and walked out to the verandah. The sky was waking up and it was beautiful :)

Kev and I went up to Deck 12 to try and catch the sunrise up, but the sun was hiding behind the clouds. I did manage to get this awesome capture.

We headed back down to the room and fell back asleep. I woke up at 9am and enjoyed coffee on the verandah (still hot in the thermos). Here's the view from that morning..

I let Kevin sleep in and headed down to the on-board booking desk around 9:30am. I was promptly helped and booked a placeholder cruise to get the discount and onboard credit for our next cruise. :)

Afterward, I headed up to Cabanas since I realized I hadn't had breakfast there at all. I made two plates and brought it back to the room. Man, that was a journey in itself.. such a far walk and my food was really cold by the time I got back.

The bacon was probably the best part of the breakfast. The eggs were gross, the sausage and potatoes were blehh. The hashbrowns were good and the fish was good. The mickey waffles were good, although I should've put the strawberry topping and syrup on the side. I put on Oliver and Company while eating breakfast and Kevin woke up around 10:30a. We got ready for the day and headed back up to Cabanas so Kevin could eat. By this point they had lunch options out.

Here's my snack.. the sushi was okay. The rice was a little hard. The cream puffs were way too sweet and fruit tart was delicious.

Here's the view from where we were sitting at Cabanas.

Afterward, we headed off to the DVC meeting and picked up a few drinks. We took our drinks out and walked toward the atrium and there was a character dance party going on so we joined in! It was so much fun, even though we were probably the biggest kids dancing!

After the dance party, we headed on over to the store to see if there was anything new. Nothing new. Afterward, we went over to guest services to see if they had any buttons for us, but no luck. We sat at this really nice chair and checked the navigator..

We headed on over to Buena Vista Theatre to catch Big Hero 6 in 3D at 1pm. It was PACKED! People were sitting on the floor and on the stairs. We were lucky to find 2 seats together in the front row. It was super close but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, especially in 3D and I was wide awake!

After the movie, we headed over to D Lounge for the Anyone Can Cook class. It was an adults class and they taught us how to make Lobster Ravioli.

Two chefs from Remy taught the course. They seemed unprepared and were probably just thrown into teach the class. They were funny, down to earth and finished the class in about 15 minutes.

At the end of class, we tried the ravioli that was sitting in the back and was super cold by the time it got to our tables. They also served wine to a few tables and we were passed up. It was okay though, we're not big wine drinkers.

After the class, we took some porthole pictures.

We headed back to the room to repack. Such a sad moment. We threw on Wall-E and called for room service for lunch. While repacking, we got a knock on our door and received our character signed items from guest services.

We took this awesome picture of our pick ups and FE gifts.

I didn't get a picture of our food from room service and I don't remember what we ordered so we'll skip over that. It was a sad last afternoon at sea.

After packing, we headed down to the Walt Disney theatre for the 6:15pm show Believe. While, I enjoyed the message, I feel like it took a reeeaaalllyyy long time for the story to build. The whole intro section and opener was just really long. The second half of the production was really good and kept me entertained. I really like the innovation they used for Tinkerbelle. It was very creative :)

Up next.. Pirate Fireworks, Dinner at Royal Palace and the depressing See Ya Real Soon

I love the blank Mickey statue that you had signed. Where did you get it?
