My husband & I are going on our first Disney Cruise in April (7 night Eastern Caribbean). My 2 questions are:

Is bottled water free on the ship? I've heard conflicting reports.

Is there any way to find out our dining rotation before we leave for our trip? We have priority Palo reservations and are able to make them over the phone before leave. We want to find out which night we should miss our regular dining. Any suggesstions?

Our experience has been that "bottled" water is not free. However, there is a free drink station that has fountain water for free (if my memory serves me correctly).

From what I read, there is a drink station on Deck 9 that has fountain water, coffee, tea, cocoa. Bottled water is extra, but you can bring your own bottle water on to the ship if you would like. Every stateroom has a cooler box. Also, I have read somewhere you get your dining rotation when you check into the ship. Have fun!!

What everyone says about the water is right. Bottled water costs. Most people bring a few bottles and refill from the water station.

You can't find out your rotation "officially" ahead of time. There is a thread on here from about a week ago titled Dining rotations that I started which gives some speculation based on a lot of peoples past experience.

With that being said, you can't make Palo's reservations until you get on board anyway. The best you can do is plan which night you want to eat at Palo's (i.e. Sun or Thurs for formal night, or the night you would normally eat in Parrot Cay, or something like that) and then be flexible when you get your actual rotation.

The only thing I'm not sure of is that you might be able to make Palo's earlier if you are in Cat 3 or above? I think what I've heard is that you just tell the conceirge (sp??) and they make them for you. Those levels have first priority from my understanding for Palo's and shore excursions.

Hope this helps!

To us, taking bottled water on the ship would be like taking sand to Castaway Cay. It would be a waste. We use only bottled water at home and are really picky about our water. There is water at the drink station on deck 9 and it is as good as any water we have purchased anywhere.

Sasha, I answer to your 2nd question, I do not think so. But since you are going to be on the 7 night cruise any dinning room you miss will be repeated. Check out Dave or Barb's site for the days that are "Special" Captain's Gala, Tropical Night, and International night. Those nights have the same menu no matter what your rotation. I think they are Sun, Tuesday and Friday. If one of those menus dosn't apeal to you book Palo for that night. I personaly enjoyed Tuesday Night in Palos because we were able to see the lights from St Martin while dinning.
Also when you call to book Palos you can ask them if you can have your dinning rotation (never huts to ask) and have an alternate plan if needed.
Have a wonderful time and don't forget to order the Chocolate Souffle!

sasha, they can't tell you what your rotation will be in advance (or they just won't), but when i called to make my ressies, i asked the concierge to put in my request for the PLAPLAP rotation. of course, that doesn't mean i'll get it, but i've now requested it through our dcl reservationist as well as the concierge. i'm hoping that double whammy will get us what we want so that the ressies i've made work for us.

good luck!
