Just put my deposit down for 10-17-04 4 night cruise on the Wonder :cloud9: Can't believe it!! We have talked for so long about it and now no more talking, time to plan!! It will be myself, husband, and our two boys ages 2 and 5 (turning 6 while on board). Booked through AAA at a pretty good "group rate" :D

Now for the questions..
1. When will I find out our cabin number? Its supposed to be Cat 6 with a possible upgrade.

2. What, if anything, will they do for my 5 yr olds birthday? The cruise itself is going to be a surprise for him, he thinks he's going to Disney World.

3. Can I call ahead to reserve a spot at Flounders Reef for the 2 yr old. Don't think I will have him potty trained before October. We're trying hard but not making to much progress.

4. What time do we need to be at the port? I think we will be staying at the Radisson and using their shuttle service.

Sorry so many questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Don't know this one.

2. Let the dinning room servers know - they will make a big deal over it bring him a cake, sing, etc. There may be more organized things as well - check with quest services on board.

3. You can sign the 2yo up once on board. Not aware that you can do this ahead of time.

4. The ship begins boarding around noon - terminal opens at 10 or 10:30 - suggest getting there some time around 11 - need some time to check in (which can take some time depending on the lenght of the lines).

Hope this helps.

Congrats on the decision! I am sure everyone will be exstatic at the cruise idea!

Disney has Staeroom Celebrations on sale for $30. Have a look at: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/d...offers/giftindex?id=StateroomCelebrationsGift

As for staying at the Raddison, your post does not mention if you are planning on a WDW trip either before or after. One suggestion would be to rent a car from Budget (or another for about $35) at the Orlando airport and drive the morning of the cruise to the port. This allows you to stay at a less expensive hotel in Orlando, and permits more freedom the day before the cruise. If you do not have a WDW trip planned, you can visit Downtown Disney and get all reved up for pretty much free!

The day of the cruise, you can let everyone off at the terminal to begin standing in line and take Budget's shuttle back after dropping off the car.

Of course if you do stay in the Canaveral area and have a rental, you can visit NASA.

Hope things go well and enjoy the planning!

for the info.

Greysword: Great link just what I was looking for. We are driving down from GA only about a 7 hr drive. Just needed somewhere to stay overnight and the Radisson looked close enough.

2xcruiser: Thanks for the times.

Just keep checking your reservation online for your stateroom number. Seems like I got mine in late February for my end of May cruise last year.

Congrats. Like you we have been talking about it and finally booked last week. We are also in the planning stage. My wife and I (age 37) will be celebrating our 12th anniversary on the Wonder on Aug 1. We book the 7 day land/sea starting 7/29 through 8/5 (land first). For the last 11 years we have done something nice without kids so this year we decided to celebrate our anniversary with them. My boys will be 4 and 7 by cruise time (birthdays March and May). We are VERY MUCH looking forward to it. We will spend most of the time with them. We will take one day and night to ourselves (haven't decided which night yet).

Have Fun!!!

Thanks for the celebration link. I will use it to surprise my wife.
