1st time buyer- purchasing question

Hi there folks! Not sure if this has been asked before, couldn't find it when I was searching. Pretty sure my husband and I are going to finally buy into DVC sometime this year. We don't plan on financing...we're going to pay cash. Does anyone know if it's possible to put the entire transaction on a credit card in order to take advantage of cc rewards points?

Direct = yes. If on a Disney Chase Visa you also get 6 months @ 0% automatically.

Resale = no (or at least nowhere I've heard of).

Some of the lenders will let you pay off the entire loan onto a CC so if you really want the points you could finance for a couple months then pay off the loan onto the CC

That’s the information I was given from vacation club loans. This was important for me because I’m in Canada and going through the process of getting a USD cheque and couriering it to Florida is a pain in the bum, being able to do everything from monthly payments to lump sums via credit card is a big plus to me

Keep in mind that you're likely paying additional closing costs to finance a resale. It may cost you more than the value of the points.

No, only the down payment can be put on cc. The rest cashier's check on resale.

We were unable to put either resale contract on a credit card.
As noted, we put the $1000 down payment on a CC, but the rest was a cashiers check.

I should have been more clear, I agree the down payment was on CC and the closing requires a check but the monthly payments and any lump sum payoffs of the loan can be on CC I was told
