1st Time at HH; Loved it!

We've been DVC owners for 16 years, but just made our first trip to HH the first week of May. We had booked a GV & 2 studios. It was a family reunion of sorts, with my family of 4, sister-in-law with nephew & his fiance, brother-in-law with our two nieces & one fiance. The five cousins and the two fiances had a blast together, and us old folks had a great time too! It was a trip we all needed as my sister-in-law (sister of my husband & wife of brother-in-law & mother of 2 nieces) passed away in September 2016 from a re-occurrence of breast cancer after 23 years & our last time together was for the funeral. It was bittersweet, as she had been in on the original planning for the trip. Our first day there, a cardinal flew by us & then showed up at the pool at the Beach House, so we think she approved.

The GV was amazing; used the fireplace for smores while the "kids" played a silly card game & spent a good amount of time hanging out in the rockers on the deck. Our nephew & niece & their significant others loved their studios, and I was given room keys for them to the GV so that they could come & go as they pleased to visit with us or use the kitchen.

The CM's there were amazing, even arranging a special family only kayak outing for us when the regular one was full & even giving us the DVC discount for the entire party. Loved the photo op in the lobby & were actually able to get pictures with all 11 of us in it!

We will definitely be back as we want to spend more time exploring, since this trip was all about family!

Shhh! HH is Disney's Best Kept Secret!

Glad the CMsat the HH resort were able to share some Disney magic with your family - IMO the HH staff is the best of the best.

The GVs are wonderful accommodations. Which Building were you in?

We were in Bldg 19, as were my niece & her fiance. My nephew & his fiance were in Bldg 16. We loved the location, close to everything & parking was easy.

We were at HHI last June. It was our first time as well and we fell in love with the resort. I completely agree the CMs are THE BEST! We wouldn't mind picking up a 100 point contract there some day

Good luck! Those who have HHI contracts seem to hold onto them-when we wanted a contract about that size, in our UY, it took 8 months till the right one came along.
I guess the "secret's" getting out.
