1st time and so confused!!

Although I am not a DVC owner, I found out that my mothers timeshare can be traded in at a Disney property. We were originally thinking of Thanksgiving through the 1st week of Dec. for 2003. How difficult is it to get this time of year? If it is really hard to get, what abut the 3rd week of August? We have been in August before so we know about the heat.

I posted this on the resort board but someone thought this would be a better place to get some accurate info. Thanks for your help!

First of all, trades INTO DVC are very difficult to come by. I would think they would be even more difficult at the Thanksgiving to Christmas time frame since that is a very popular time with DVC owners. The best thing to do is get your request in ASAP and HOPE!! If you aren't TOO specific about when, it might happen.

The short answer is you have very little chance and what chance there is will be at OKW. If they have something VERY desirable there will be a slight chance, if not, they have no chance. Also, consider a direct exchange if what is being offered is top notch time and resort.
