I tried to read all the threads under WISH... I just dont have the time... my DD(s) wont give me time!!! I am a 35 year old stay at home mom, and they are ages 4 years and 18 months.
I currently weigh more than I ever have and I am hating it.
I have always had somewhat of a weigh issue, never really been BONE thin.
But ever since I quit smoking to be HEALTHIER I have gotten FATTER!
I guess what I am looking for, is someone in the same boat as me. I have 40 pounds I want to lose, I think I have tried every diet there is. Start out good, and then what can I say as soon as I notice results. I cheat, I fail and then I am depress about it and EAT MORE. Sounds crazy I know. LOL !!! :rotfl2:
I have decided to start walking Monday and I am going to try to walk to Disney. We leave for Mickey's in December. I would love to be able to say I did it ! 215 days- 690
I am not sure about what eating regimen I will be following. I am going to start out with Portion control until some one can give me some ideas. (Diet buddy?)
A support system is the only thing I haven't tried. I am going to be honest and open about my accomplishments, my walks, my cheats and my feelings. Please Bare with me. :flower: :flower:
Thanks.

Welcome to the WISh journals!

I really think you have a great chance at succeeding this time, because you are ready to journal and hold yourself accountable. Being honest with yourself and writing down everything you eat and the feelings that go along with the eating is a real eye opener. Are there days that you cheat or wonder if it is worth it? Yes. BUT, if you try hard to stick with your plan (whatever that may be) you will find that the bad days are not as bad as they are now and the occur less frequently.

Of course, everyday won't be easy, especially with kids (I have 4). But each passing day will get easier. When you get off plan just remember the most important key: Tomorrow is another day and a chance to keep going and make myself the best person I can be. Continuing on through the good and the bad days is what will make a difference in the end.

You can do this and you will find a lot of great support here. Just think in a few weeks you will have so much energy that you will be able to keep up with the children, which feels really good.

Portion control is where I started, along with healthier choices. Sounds like you are off to a great start! Good luck on your journey! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Welcome to WISH!!!

Congrats on quitting smoking! What a huge accomplishment!

Journaling is great help and exercise will do wonderful things for you. Best of luck to your on your journey! :sunny:

Sounds like you are READY!!!

Portion control and exercise will get you where you want/need to be.

Good Luck!

Remember to take one day at a time and one 'splurge' won't kill you.

Acknowledge it and move on!

Welcome to WISH! This is a great place to come. Tell us the good and then bad and we'll help you get through!! Congratulations on quiting smoking, that is a great accomplishment. The weight will come off too and you will be so healthy for your little ones!!

I'm going to WDW with my family in December also-the 2nd-9th. When will you be there?

Hi and welcome.

You sound ready. Portion control and exercise are key. Good luck. :goodvibes

Welcome to WISH!!! You're absolutely gonna love it here...everyone is SO awesome and encouraging...I just adore it!!

Portion control and exercise is the winner!! Portion control was a big thing for me because I got so used to getting up for more food, or ordering large meals, etc. Now I'm doing much better in how much I eat...even if it means bringing out the measuring cups so I control exactly how much I'm eating! It's helped me a lot. It was hard the first few days as I got used to it, but now it's easier because my body and my mind is accustomed to it. The mind was the hardest. Physically I'd feel ok, but my mind wanted the food...so that self discipline was tough. Without the support and encouragement of WISH, I probably would be falling flat on myself A LOT more than I do.

So jump on it, get this journal going...and soak up the love!!! :)
