Well, I don't fill up now. I usually just put $ 7.00 in at a time hoping that the price will go down but like minniepumpernickel said it seems to go up a penny a day. From what I have seen, I guess we are pretty luck in Georgia to just be paying $ 1.75 a gallon.

Milk, I hear, has gone up due to Mad Cow Disease concerns. Ugh! Pete and I drink about a gallon of 2% every two days!

DH has to fill up his car every other day because of his commute to work. Due to his erratic schedule, there would not be anyone he could share the ride with and he can't exactly switch jobs...

Seriously, this week I have been riding my bike to the post office and shortly I will be riding my bike to the grocery store for a small run. Thankfully, both these places are within 1-2 miles of my house and my bank is also in my grocery store.

I seriously gave thought to buying one of those bike trailers for little kids to do my larger grocery shopping runs. But since the kids will be out of school in 3 weeks, I would have to take them with me. I am not quite ready to have them riding on the road that goes to the grocery store.

I am taking as many cost cutting measures as I can. I am making sure that all my errands are in one trip and I am riding my bike to do as many of them as I can until gas comes down to a reasonable price again.

I'd say so!
It was $2.15 a gallon reg. unleaded this morning.

I didn't even realize the milk prices were way up too. Unfortunately, will have to check that out as well today as DD just finished off the last of it.

Gas going up a penny a day? That's nothing.
drove to work - it was $2.05 for the mid-grade gas.
on the way home - it was $2.13.

I never actually look at the price of milk...because it was something we always needed to have in the house - I got a gallon of whole for DH and a half gallon of skim for myself.

What was I paying for milk, say, a month ago?

Our milke was $1.99 about a week ago for a gallon of skim. Yesterday we paid $2.39, I believe. Our gas is $2.39 a gallon.

Oh yeah, I drink soy milk too, I have no idea if thats going to go up now too.
