Hi
We will be going on the Disney Cruise for our second anniversay in May of 2005. This year we are just going to Disney staying at POFQ. We will be going on one of the 7 night cruises but it seems a lot cheaper for me to book airfare by itself and just pay for the cruise and the transfers. Should we arrive Friday instead of Saturday and stay at the airport hotel. I'm also not sure of the name of the hotel? Thanks KELLY::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

we usually get our own airfare because it is cheaper doing it that way and normally we fly in a few days before the cruise and stay at POR. i would definitly come in the day before the cruise in case you run into any delays. i believe th hyatt at the airport is a good choice, go on priceline.com and see what you can come up with. good luck.

If you are getting in earlier in the day, you might want to stay at one of the hotels at Cocoa Beach and enjoy the beach and shops. You might need to look into getting a car service, because there probably won't be any DCL buses running on a Fri. (no cruises leave that day)

Have fun!

Kelly,

We always fly in at least the day before. I would not think about flying in the day of the cruise (especially after what I saw on Airline last night:earseek: ) but there are a lot of people who do this and have no problems. We have stayed at the airport Hyatt several times and it is very convenient. As was posted before, you have many choices but I would agree that doing your own airfare is usually cheaper especially if you want to fly in a day before.

Since we are flying cross country, we always arrive a day early. You never know about weather or other delays. If you use DCL air (we don't) DCL will hold the ship for you if there are flight delays or get you to the next port so you can board. We would rather be ON the ship, so we arrive early!!

I would definately suggest that you fly in a day early if you can, that way if there are any problems witht the flight you have some time to play with and still make the cruise. Also may want to look into the Happy Limo car service going from airport to terminal. They can pick u up at a hotel around the airport and then off to DCL terminal. Hope that helps....:bounce:

I agree that flying in the day before is the way to go. We've flown in the morning of the cruise but it isn't worth it any more. We have to get up so early, then by the time you make it to the ship and everything you are so tired you can't enjoy it as much.

A few times we've flown in the day before, stayed at the Radisson by the port, and really enjoyed ourselves much better!
