1st DVC ressie! DVC ressie/CR0 ressie -- staying in same room?

Just made our first DVC reservation! VWL studio in January :)

So I made a 3 weeknight reservation using points, then I made a 2 weekend-night reservation with CRO using the AP rate. The DVC ressie is actually 2 separate reservations also, because the 1st 2 nights were available right away, and I waitlisted for the 3rd night.

With these continuing reservations, what are the chances of staying in the same room all 5 nights?

If chances aren't good that we get to stay in the same room, then I'll just make a reservation for a different type of room (VWL studio AP rate is 225, WL woods view AP rate is only 160). If we have to switch rooms anyway, then I'd rather save money.

I know there aren't guarantees, just wanted to know what is likely to happen.

Thanks for any info!

If you booked everything through MS and your waitlist comes through you should be in the same room for all 5 nights.

The nights you booked through MS can be linked, so they wil be treated as one ressie (assuming that they are three MS nights in a row, not two MS nights, CRO ressie, then one MS night)...just call them to make sure that they linked them. As far as the CRO ressie, you can request it, but it is not guaranteed. You will need to actually check in again for the CRO ressie, and you may have to move.

No, the first 3 nights are 2 reservations with MS using points. My waitlist already came through for the 3rd night so I have all 3 nights reserved.

But the last 2 nights are with CRO using an AP rate -- MS said they couldn't help me with the AP rate.

Will that probably be a problem then?

You will need to get the number for your MS reservation that connects to the CRO reservation and give it to CRO. You'll need to give MS your CRO reservation number. Make sure all names on all reservations are exactly the same. When you check in, let the CMs at the front desk know that you have another reservation through CRO.

This might keep you from moving, but it might not. You will definitely have to check out and back in again for the CRO reservation.

Thanks for this info. I did give CRO my DVC reservation numbers.

So it sounds like this might be a 50/50 chance of keeping the same room? That'll be a tough choice!
