We just booked our 1st criuse ever and have 2 cabins in cat.11 reserved #'s 6502 and 6504 on the wonder. What I want to know is cat. 11 the pitts? We wanted to go as cheap as possible but really want to feel comfortable too. We are excited to even be able to go since we added to our regular disney- land vacation. There are 4 adults and my 2 ds's 6&7. The boys will be happy anywhere but the thought of not having a window makes me a little nervous.
Has anyone stayed at this level and had a super voyage?

With 3 people per room you will be just fine. The 11s are just a little shorter than the 10+s. Put your empty suitcases under the bed. If they don't slide under it, then just lift of the frame & it will fit just fine. That will save room in the closet. There were 4 of us in an 8 & at first glance with all the luggage out it seemed like we would go crazy for the week, once everything was put away we really enjoyed it.

Stayed in Room 6111 and loved it. 2 ad and 2 ch, plenty of room. On problem with dressing, DH had to wait until all the girls were done! But worked out fine as it doesn't take him as long.

Went last year and stayed in a cat.11. Two adults and two pre-teens. No problems at all! You'll love it!

I am so glad to hear the positive responses from all of you. I just needed to hear it from fellow disney-goers. With my family with me I'm sure we'll have a good time.
Thanks everyone, Darlene

On our 1st cruise we had a cat 11 on deck 5. It was probably our most enjoyable cruise ever. Part was because everything was so new and new to us there was no time to spend in the room. We had 2 adults/ 1 child. Pick up the bed and put your suitcases under it for more room. Also, go to the spa and get showered and let the other adult use the bathroom. We do this on every cruise now. Sometimes I go and come back to the room to actually dress and sometimes my DH goes and dresses down there. He has less to carry! Also take a couple of over-the-door shoe bags- one for the bathroom door for shampoos, brushes, makeup- whatever, and the other for your closet- shoes, belts, etc. They are lifesavers and you can get them at the Dollar Tree. We just gave ours to our room steward when we left. We also took a laundry bag for our dirty clothes.

Our first cruise was a cat. 11 and loved it. My two SIL's were in the same size room. Each room had 2 adults and 2 kids, and they said it was fine. We hardly spent any time in our room anyway. It's really a great deal and for you first cruise I recommend it because of how little time you spend there.

Stayed in Cat 11 last year. It was wonderful, DH, Myself & 9 yr DD....

Another plus is that you can go back to the room at any time of the day and it is BLACK inside there. It is great for taking an afternoon snooze while the kids are hitting the clubs!!!

:)

DCL rooms are so large and there is something about the way they use mirrors in those inside rooms, you don't feel cramped up at all. Now, I spent a cruise in an inside cabin on Carnival, and that was a whole different story! :p

I am really excited now. Come on November! The Disney Wonder sounds so good and I can't believe the price we got. After checking around we went with Dreams Unlimited. I usually do our vacation planning but having heard so much good feedback on these boards decided to go with them for our 1st cruise.
Thank you everyone, Darlene

Stayed in Cat. 11 inside cabin on our October cruise. Loved it so much we booked two cabins down for our upcoming June 26 cruise. You're going to love it!

There is always a chance that you will get upgraded. I booked a Cat. 11 in Jan to surprise my wife for anniversary (she already knew we were going to WDW). When we got our cruise info we were bumped up to a Cat 8.

Yup, I got a surprise, out of the blue, free upgrade from category 11 to category 9 just today! (Cruising in May). So, it is random, and one can never count on it, but it could happen to you! The important thing, however, IMHO, is to be happy with what you have. You'll have a great time, regardless. I have never been on a cruise where I had an outside window -- could never afford it -- and I always have a blast!

I'll 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th... other posters comments. Cat 11 rooms are fine. Its not like you're staying in a motel six that was buit in the 50's and never renovated, in a seedy part of town with 15 big rigs idling outside your room all night long.

What you get with a cat 11 room is a clean, very nice room that is layed out so to give you as much room as possible. Nicely decorated. And it comes with a room steward to clean up after you and keep the room nice and fresh and stocked with clean towels and cold ice.

But now for the best part. You get to use all of the ships services/facilities that everyone else has access to. Great food, and dinning room experience. Teriffic shows. Fun family activities. No cooking, cleaning, washing. Great views of the bahamas (in your case).

And most of all that special Disney Magic (even though you are going to be on the Wonder)!!!

It's a great family vacation regardless of room category you are staying in.

jrabbit, I love the way you compared the cabin to a motel 6. I'm still laughing about it. We are feeling real good about our reservation in Catagory 11.
Thanks all, Darlene

We had our first cruise in a Cat 11 last September and like it well enough to book it again for this November.
