Timely thread OP. Today this song came on the radio and I was telling my DD 25 how i used to make mixed tapes on my stereo .

I had one of them! I saved and saved and saved for it. I know this is dodgy, but I used to check out the newest cassettes from the library and record them, or borrow ones from my friends.

The man refused to move on to an iPod when we went camping.
He bought the last boombox (with cassette player of course) a Radio Shack on route 9A in Clinton, CT, had before they closed down permanently. Hey it made him happy.

So many fun options, but this one is sticking out right now. DD17 graduated over the weekend. The playlist before the ceremony was geared to appeal to all of the parents and grandparents. This came on at some point and you could see people all over the stadium dancing in their seats.
