1974??? birdseye competition winners

dw won a birdseye competition at the tender age of 9 in approx. 1974 and is wondering if any other winners of this comp. caught the disney bug?? the competition was to name a cartoon drawing of a horse wearing some sports gear.
the trip was in Feb 1974 she thinks, and there were about 100 people on the trip. They went to the magic kingdom (the only disney park in Florida at the time) and kennedy space center.
Anyone remember it?

Nope sorry I can't remember but I can remember that to go to Disney in 1974 was the kind of thing that children would ask for on Jim'll Fix It. You wife was a lucky ducky it must have been a fantastic experience.

Yes it's a bit like asking jim if you can swim with dolphins Dam she's done that as well thanks to Discovery Cove

An interesting thread for us - We ourselves caught the Disney bug in similar circumstances much more recently. DW took DS and DD to buy shoes at Clarks in 1997 and were given scratchcards. Although my wife and daughter won nothing, our son the youngest family member (7) found he had won the country's star prize of a trip to Hollywood with Disneyland and Universal tickets included. DW and I until that time had no real interest in a Disney park. Never having been we didn't appreciate the "magic of the Mouse", but that amazing trip changed our lives as far as holidays are concerned and now Disney is always our first pick if at all possible. As you can see our next trip is extremely imminent, and DS who started it all off is counting down the seconds - literally!!!
