Hello everyone, my mother in law attended Disneyland in July of 1955 and gave me a money order made out for one dollar that her uncle purchased for her at the Bank of America on Main Street. It is gold in color with a train embossed in the background. Any idea how much (if anything) its worth?

Thank you so much for your help, I have been unable to locate any resources online,;)

i also have one dated 07/18/55. did you get any answers on your worth of your money order?

I would say it is worth at least $1.00 at any Bank of America branch.

But what you may want to do, however it will cost a lot, is to put it on eBay with a very high Reserve (around $1,000) and see how high the bidding goes. And if it does hit the reserve, frame a high-quality color copy and cash in the investment.

Value is in excess of $100. It varies based on whether the original receipt is included with it, and based on condition and whether it is dated on opening day, or how close.

I have never seen a $5 or $10 example, but I am interested in all three types.

Actually, when it comes to collectibles, it's far less about the condition or date, and more about what some poor sap is willing to pay.
