I would like to book a breakfast and a dinner here because I hear the character interaction is great at both times. Has anyone done both breakfast and dinner on different days during a vacation?
pros? cons? likes? dislikes? thank you.

Back in 2010, we did both (on different days) when we traveled with relatives who really wanted to see Alice and Mad Hatter at the breakfast, as well as do the dinner. We enjoyed them both! Completely different characters and food, so that's a 'pro' right there and we have always liked the food at 1900 Park Fare.

Yes, I have done both meals on the same trip, on different days.
Lived to tell about it.
Characters are fun and yes, they are different.
I did it because I knew my Mother would enjoy both Mary Poppins and the Step Family and we needed to do both breakfast and dinner to do both.
Food is fine, nothing you are going to remember forever mind you but a good variety and everyone should find something to eat there.
While we've only done breakfast the one time we've done dinner a lot.
It's always a pleasant experience to dine at 1900PF.

We did both last year and I liked the food and characters better for dinner.
Don't get me wrong we enjoyed breakfast but Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters cracked me up!!

I've done both. I think the breakfast food is better than the dinner, but the characters at dinner are more entertaining.

The Mad Hatter who comes around at breakfast can be a riot, but the rest of them are just regular characters. At dinner, the stepmom and her daughters are hysterical. They really get into the act.

Desserts at dinner are very good, but I do wish they'd add a prime rib carving station. That would make it awesome. At one time, they put out sushi for dinner, but I haven't seen it listed lately though. You can get strawberry soup at both meals, and it is heavenly. :cloud9:

We've never had dinner there, but have had breakfast several times. IMHO, it's one of the best character meals in WDW. The food and character interactions are wonderful!

We have breakfast and Dinner booked at 1900 PF during our holiday in December. My son loves Character Meals, my daughter loves princesses, and we're staying at GF, so, I reckon it's a win.

I've done dinner and breakfast both at least 3 times in the past 3 years. The food is a lot better at breakfast, I especially like the red velvet pancakes! As for the characters:

The breakfast gang (Alice, Mary, Mad Hatter, Tigger, Winnie) has consistently been charming and fun. Out of the three times I did dinner, our character experience (Cinderella, Charming, Tremaine and the Steps) has been inconsistent. Our first dinner had some highly entertaining and fun interactions, our second one was rushed and not that great, and our third one was pretty mixed. I will say that the step sisters have always been funny and interactive, but Cinderella and Prince Charming are both stark hit-or-miss interactions. I should also note that none of the characters are guaranteed at either meal- during our second dinner, we saw Snow White instead of Lady Tremaine.

The strawberry soup, which they serve at both meals, is one of my favorite things to eat on property, so there's always that. If you have someone in your party who has their heart set on meeting someone in the dinner rotation, then by all means book the dinner, but if it's not important to you, I would personally choose breakfast.

I've only done all the holiday brunches, but it includes all the same breakfast characters and a mix of both breakfast and dinner dishes. Park Fare is my favorite place to eat. The food is delicious and so so fresh! This is the cleanest buffet I have ever been to. The servers behind the counter are constantly interchanging food dishes replacing the old with the new. Service here has always been the best for us. Character interaction has been the most remarkable here too. The characters (Tigger, Pooh, Alice, MadHatter, Mary Poppins) really take time to interact with each guest and is never felt rushed. At times, they just pull up a seat next to you and talk. Very relaxed (and beautiful) environment .

It's my favorite Disney restaurant so it has a big place in my heart:lovestruc

My last visit to 1900PF was for dinner, and Lady Tremaine stole the show. One of the best character interactions on any of our trips. The stepsisters were great as well.

I may take some heat for this, but I didn't care for the food at all. I felt like it was a fancy Golden Corral with below average buffet quality food. The food at many other character buffets is much better. I enjoyed the food more at Chef Mickey's, Tusker House, and of course 'Ohana than I did at 1900PF. Maybe (hopefully!) it's improved since my last visit.

I have this weird mental calculation when trying to determine if Disney dining is a good "value" or not. I take the price and immediately cut it in half for the character experience. I take another 1/3 off the remaining 50% because it's at Disney. If the remaining price seems reasonable for the meal I had I'm happy. If not, I don't consider it a good value.

My wife and I have done both on the same trip several times. Character interaction is what you make it. We've had great interaction at both meals. While we find a larger variety of things we like at the breakfast, we've never left either meal hungry, or with the intention of eating anything else soon.

I've done both breakfast and dinner on the same trip. Honestly, breakfast is good but nothing blew me away. Character interaction was just ok. Mad Hatter was funny but thats about it. At dinner, the food wasnt good at all. Both quality and variety was bad. The only saving grace were the step sisters. OMG they were hilarious.

I feel like this describes every Character meal buffet on property but for Tusker House. They are just not quality food. We never go to them for food. Some we quit doing to period because we can see the characters elsewhere and the food is just too poor to draw us in. So really 1900PF and TH are the only ones we do now. 1900PF for the characters and TH actually has decent food choices (though Boma is better, just no characters)

Truer words have never been spoken.
I've never understood comments that I read over and over again, here, on Facebook, and at other Disney sites, that interaction at a meal was rushed. I'm not clear on what that means. They'll stay and interact/chat with you as long as you interact/chat with them. We've done a lot of character meals over the years, every one on property multiple times and have never had what I would consider a rushed experience because I've never had one walk away before we were done with the interaction. I've never had a character walk away mid sentence or anything like that. I don't get "rushed" comments or exactly what that means :confused3
