1900 Park Fare closed- Grand Floridian Cafe instead?

I'm on the phone with Disney Dining right now making ADRs, 1900 Park Fare will be closed 7/9-10/1. The Cinderella meal is moving to the Grand Floridian Cafe. Any reviews on the cafe?

My understanding is that they are serving the same types of food as they had at 1900 Park Fare.. not sure though

The CM I talked to said that it isn't buffet, but that the characters would be there.

The CM that I talked to said that it is going to be a buffet! ACK! I think we'll need to call again to find out for sure because I've eaten at 1900 Park Faire before and I really enjoyed the food. Sigh....

Hmmm the CM I spoke to about a month ago said it was sort of a buffet, you could choose what they bring you from a variety of choices..(sounds like a menu) BUT todaywhen making arrangements again this one said it was a pre plated dinner. sounds like CRT breakfast not much choice.

Sounds like another case of CMs all having different stories. I'm not going until September, so it will have been going on for a few months when I have to decide. I really want to take DD to a princess meal in her birthday, but Akershus does not sound appealing at all and I dont want to spend the 2 credits on Cindy's.
