we have done 1900 Park Faire for for dinner- and will do so again.
But we thought we would also try breakfast - we got an 8 AM ADR - so we can swing on the monorail to MK afterwards. Mk does not open till 9 AM on the day we do 1900 for breakfast.

How is 1900 Park fair for breakfast ?
Who do you normally see for characaters ?

Nice selection of food ?

For an 8 AM ADR - should we arrive around 7:45 am ?

Thanks for any advice :boat:

I can't really help you with any of your questions, but was wondering how you liked the dinner. We have a 5 year old and are going in 3 weeks and have never eaten here before.

I did 1900 Park Fare for breakfast last month and it was wonderful. All the food was really tasty. Plenty of selection with everything from omlets, waffels, pasteries, fresh fruit, a carving station, plus a children's buffet. The characters that were out that day were Mary Poppins (in the lobby dressed in her red "nanny" outfit), Alice, The Mad Hatter, Pooh, and Rabbit. I believe Rabbit is pretty rare at that meal though. I've heard either Tigger or Eeyore is usually there instead. I was pleased with the assortent of different characters they had. I think it's pretty standard o arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your ADR at these sort of reservations. I know I did. It worked out well because I was able to get there early, meet Mary Poppins, and by the time I was through, my table was all ready. All in all, I thought it was a fantastic meal and I'd definatly recogment it. Hope that helps. :teeth:

Of all the character breakfast we did last Oct, food-wise- this was the best!! They had a huge selection!

Characters at that time were Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger.

We are definitely doing it again in December!!!

I have an ADR there for 8:00 AM on our MK day. If the MK opens at 9 that morning, would we be able to park at the TTC and hop the monorail over to the GF at say 7:30/7:45? I don't want to pay for valet at GF that morning and with our massive double stroller, I don't want to take the Resort buses.

Monorails start running around 7 AM.

1900 Park faire dinner- wonderful selection of salads, main dishes, carving station (roast beef and ham), great desserts and children selections.
We had Cinderella, Price Charming and the two mice. The Fairy God Mother meets you at the door on the way in. Great background for pictures. The Fairy Godmother also comes down to your childs level - she is no 60 year old granny who can not squat down. She is very sweet and nice to the kids. Even the shyest child will not be frightened of her.

If you have a special event - tell them. You can even order a cake 48 hours in advance (you have to pay for it) - just call 407-824-2578 (GF bakery)
We are doing my DD birthday there on the day we arrive in WDW. :)

I am glad to hear breakfast is good. My kids will love to see the Mad Hatter and Alice. The Rabbit would be great too. Mary Poppins another plus.
A great way to start a day before MK. :cool1:

I think the 1900 Park Fare breakfast buffet is a cut above the other WDW breakfasts. Please do give it a try. :earsboy:

I can't wait - my husband and I are going to do the breakfast at 1900 on our "adults only" trip in Sept. I love Mary Poppins! I told him today we were going thinking he would just roll his eyes and he thought it would be fun too!!!  My husband's the best!

The breakfast is nothing short of wonderful! 1900 Park Fare has the best food, a great cast group, and a neat selectional of characters. We always make a point to eat at Park Fare. We were there this month and everything was great as usually. Enjoy! You won't be let down.

We also had a great experience at 1900 Park Fair breakfast! We saw Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter (he was lots of fun), Pooh and Tigger. My DD asked Mary Poppins if Bert would be there, but she told us he was painting sidewalks that day. :goodvibes

We also ate at Crystal Palace for breakfast and I think the food and the atmosphere was better at Park Fair. Plus I always like to visit the GF while we are there!

Myself and five others went there for breakfast last week and saw Mary Poppins, (in the lobby as already stated,) Pooh, Tigger, Alice, and the Mad Hatter.

The food was good, (mmm, strawberry soup...!) but I would have rather ordered a strawberry crepe or something. I really like fruit and actually like Cape May Cafe better overall (breakfast pizza!). That being said, it was still good fun! I have absolutely no regrets going :)

I love the Park Fare breakfast. The food is always wonderful and I love the characters and the setting. I've always found it to be less hectic than Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace too. I've done the breakfast and the dinner Park Fare and they are two of my most favorite character meals. :tink:

The first time I did the breakfast, it was with just my mom and while she was at the buffet Mary Poppins came over to the table. She asked what we were doing that day and I said we were going to AK and asked if we'd see alot of animals on the safari and in her most British, Nanny, Mary Poppins voice she said to me...

"Well, usually you do see alot of animals on a safari, but we don't
staple them to the ground or anything you know."

Don't know why I told that story, but it was so funny and one of my favorite WDW memories.

My parents took our DD there for breakfast in December 2004 and loved it! We'll have to go there again on our upcoming trip just so DH and I can experience it for ourselves! :teeth:

DD still talks about Alice and the Mad Hatter - they were a lot of fun! :goodvibes

Was just there for the first time last week and it was great! Food was delicious and the characters were fun too, especially the Mad Hatter.
