we decided to go back to disney over the labor day weekend so I've been behind in posting.....here's day 6 from our august trip...

Day 6
Tuesday 7/30
Today was the day we were to check out and drive to Deerfield Beach to visit Big Poppy (Daddys Grandfather). The weather was so beautiful and we had so much fun at Blizzard Beach the other day that we decided to wait until after lunch to leave for Big Poppys.
We packed up our stuff, put on our bathing suites, grabbed some pop tarts for the kids and headed for Blizzard Beach. We spent some time in Tikes Peek and Ski Patrol. The kids enjoyed the slides and Kayla enjoyed crossing the water on the icebergs. We also took several rides up the ski lifts, spotting the hidden Mickey below in the rocks, and then down on the family raft ride. Around lunchtime we changed clothes in the locker rooms and headed to Epcot.
Upon arriving at Epcot we checked out our leave Legacy pictures and headed to our PS at Coral Reef. We had a table right next to the tank. The kids loved this, as they stayed glued to the glass for the entire meal. We spotted several of the fish on the card they give you identifying the marine life in the tank. Mommy and Daddy both enjoyed the blackened catfish and grits and the kids each enjoyed a bowl of grits. The food and service was excellent. Mommy had a nice relaxing glass of wine (they have a nice wine list) and kids also enjoyed their ice water accompanied by a bobbing blue plastic dolphin. During lunch the diver was in the tank. He came by our table and spent a long time blowing kisses back and forth with Kayla. He also did several tricks in the tank for the kids and fed the fish by us. This is now a new favorite restaurant for us!
After lunch we rode space ship earth and then headed out of Epcot. We stopped by Downtown Disney to browse and had an ice cream at Girendellies (sp??).
Around 5:00 we headed to Big Poppys. After about a 3 ½ hr drive we arrive at Dearfield beach. The kids are excited to see Big Poppy and we all enjoy a Pizza for Dinner and a relaxing evenig.
