1800 Contacts Gone From MyPoints??

Went to order some contacts today and can't find 1800 Contacts Anywhere!!!

This happened once before and they showed up again a couple of days later.

Any advice??

I ended up ordering through QuickRewards instead.

First time I've bought anything through them, but I figured it can't take as long as mypoints to credit!

I sure hope it comes back to MyPoints cause that is 750 points rewarded immediately!!

I always had my contacts order points the next morning. Plus I get reimbursed for the contacts from insurance, so that is FREE points for me.

I order my DH's contacts through them. I've been ordering one box at a time to get points each month. He needed more, so I looked. Nowhere to be found on the My Points site. So I order anyway since it was still cheaper than anywhere else. Literally 5 minutes after I get my confirmation that my contacts had shipped I get an email from My Points with a 750 Point offer.

Moral of the story, Look in your May Connections newsletter. The offer expires the 9th.

I am not too mad, since I seem to have 800 mysterious points in my account. I am afraid to cash them out though.

Got a question for those of you who order from them. I need contacts but have never ordered them from here before and I only want 1 box for each eye and of course my prescription is different in each. We just got new insurance and I haven't had a chance yet to find out where I can go for an exam or if I can go to my regular doctor.

I had started to go thru the order process and was filling in the information for the doc I went to last year and the site was having trouble so I had to get out.

Here's my questions: How does the process actually work with them to get to order contacts and can I only order 1 box?

Yep, you can order only one box at a time if you want. I do it all the time.

From what I gather, unless you fax your prescription in, they call the doctor that you give them. They will then verify that you have a current prescription. The time before this when I ordered, I got an email back from 1-800 saying that the prescription had expired and they couldn't send them. Then I got an email saying they had shipped and within a week had them in my hot little hands. So, there ya go.

It's a fast process (less than a week usually) and they are the cheapest I've found. Points are a bonus.

Oh, to order one box, just put zero for the quantity for the eye you aren't ordering.

1-800-contacts still not on the mypoints website. I desperately need contacts (just got a new prescription yesterday), so tried to order anyway and the 1800contacts site is not working. I get so far then can't get to the final page to enter my cc info.

I also let my hotmail account lapse so I am no longer getting the mypoints emails.

I just placed my order so hopefully I'll see better by next weekend...I used my email link from the newsletter. I ordered one box for each eye like I had wanted and it said it would ship today but I won't be holding my breath just yet.

At least I can buy a few more weeks to get to the doctors. I'm going crazy right now with going to school 2 nights a week and spend the time while DD's are at school studying.
