Bleh. I can't say I'm liking the new 90 day policy. I'd rather make my ressies early and be done with it. Now, I just know I'm going to be changing my mind countless times before I call :rolleyes1

Anyone else feel the same way?

I wish the window was still at 180. I think this will bring more competition for the prime time hours/spots. I heard a rumor that the switch to 90 days was only a temp fix for the changes being made to the Disney system, then it would go back to 180, but only time will tell. The only good new is the new system may have a online booking feature, and that would be nice.

Disney cant win. When it was 180 all we heard was "who knows where they want to eat 6 months out" and "I wish it would go back to 90 days"

well if they would put park hours out 180 days i would love for ressies to be 180days out, but i doubt they will do that so the 90days works for me

We would not have been ready to make those reservations at 180 days, so I am glad it is 90, but I wouldn't mind somewhere in between...June 1 seems like a long time from now!

I'm not heartily complaining (hope you didn't get that from my post), I'm just bleh about it because I know me. If I had to make ressies now (180 days out), I'd do it and be done with it. But because I now have to wait until June, I know I'll go back and forth a thousand times about where we should eat.

And if I don't leave myself post-it notes all over the house about calling, I'll forget it altogether! :rotfl:

Well, at least when they were at 180 days you could call, make your reservations and be done. I never ever experienced waits like the folks do now. I'm not impressed with the "improvement".

I also preferred the 180 days out. But then again, I'm a "planner." So I have no problem deciding what to do six months out. At least it was easier to get your ADR's that way. You were only competing with the other super planners. Now we're competing with lots more people for the same ADR's.

Agreed!

I'm in the 1st category. I thought 180 days out was absolutely ridiculous. :rotfl: I love the 90 day window much better

It killed me to wait the extra 90 days to make my ADRs this trip but I got ended up with everything I wanted. Just not easy for OCD's planners like myself! ;)

I totally wish it would go back to 180 days. I have never had problems with waiting or with getting my choices until now.

In my opinion making a decision of where I will be hungry 3 months in advance is just as difficult as 6 months before. At least when it was 6 I could get what I wanted. I loved sitting down with the calendar, picking the restaurants and then counting down. Once they were booked the real countdown began.

So I vote for 180 days!! Absolutely! ;)

Exactly! :thumbsup2 I prefer not to make my ADR's with the masses.

As far as the wait times mention by a PP, I think most of that is due to the system being new, and CM's getting used to it. I have already noticed big difference between now and when it was my 90 day mark (almost 30 days ago).
Much, much better.

:)

I don't mind the 90 day window for its length, but I hate the endless waits on hold! That never happened to me when it was 180. Hopefully the fabled on line ressies will fix that.

I guess I'm one of the few that really like the 90 days. I liked it for 3 reasons:

1. I was able to get EVERYTHING that I wanted, and I've been going to Disney for 4 years straight now, and that has never happened. (maybe the economy, maybe the 90 days, who knows?)

2. I was able to organize myself and made less changes and calls to Disney Dining than any other trip.

3. If I was to make a "surprise" trip, my chances of getting an ADR that I want would be more likely...with 180 days out, less likely.

So, there are my reasons and I'm sticking to it!:thumbsup2

Agreed..........I could make my ADR's at 180 days and be done with them.........I don't like the 90 day window. At the 180 day mark, I had a better shot of getting everyything I wanted, considering I travel during some of the busiest times of the year. Now, everyone will know what they want at only 90 days out. AND they will all be on the phones at the same time!

I am in the 90 Day club! Maybe because so far every one of my trips has been booked less than 180 days in advance, i have have struggled to get decent reservations.

I understand the planning piece...I have my first trip booked 180 in advance in October, and I am already plotting...but...

I am sure Disney put some money into market research and the like and determined that 90 days would be better for most people and somehow would make them more $$$$$$.
