I posted on the restaurant thread...but haven't rec'd any responses from people w/ actual experience yet. My question is...

Now that Disney is posting park hours, EMH schedules and allowing restaurant bookings at 180 days...is it working? :confused3 That is, if you booked at 180 days...did you find you had to adjust your ADRs and touring plans as your vaca'n dates neared? Or was the info'n that was published 180 days out still the same when you were 90 days to travel, 60 days, 30days, etc.??

I'd hate to set everything up at 180 days...think I was golden...and then checking back at 90 days find everything has changed....and then more changes when things got even closer, resulting in more calls to change ADRs and my touring plans.

Thanks in advance for the information!

I find that will more time to book I have more time to change my mind ... everytime I think I have everything just the way I want it I change my mind, due to new information, a change in our plans or something ...
I have changed our ADR's three times already and my DH is sick of it ... we are still about 107 days out ...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yo mention you have more info'n....is it that the EMH schedule has been changing during your travel dates...or just you've uncovered other helpful tips that have you adjusting your ADRs?

I'm not sure that's really the metric, though, for determining whether it's "working." The main objective, I believe, is to reduce the stress of having to call at a specific time on a specific day in order to have a chance at prime ADRs, and having to deal with the resulting busy signals, long waits on hold, etc. Generally, we're not hearing that prime ADRs are totally gone by the early morning of that day 180 days out.

I made our dining reservation 180 days out and have only made one change. This was due to me changing my mind about which park we were doing on which day (decided SeaWorld on a Saturday might be a bad idea) and had nothing to do with Disney changing anything. Of couse, we're not planning on doing EMH anyway so that was never a consideration when I made the reservations in the first place... :)

no disney has not changed anything ... all the park times and EMH's are the same. Usually I change my plans because I learn something new about a park or rest.. or my family wants to eat something/somewhere eles.
I agree with the other poster ... the 180 days out thing is working in the fact that when I call I usually do not have to wait long and the things I want are available ... all the ARD's I have made for our May tirp have been exactly what I wanted at the time I made them. I do have to try to make res. for the boat next and I am not really looking forward to that ... waking up early and worring about if I can dial faster than everyone eles ... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
